Combined Effort LF2 - Questions (stage mode, Bat moves)

Hello guys,
I have to ask a question regarding the Combined Effort LF2 mod. It's about the stage mode.
Whenever I try to start stage mode with a different character than Davis, a massage appears that this character wasn't authorised to play stage mode.
Is this right or is it a bug? Is there any chance to unlock the other characters for stage mode?
And, if yes, is there a chance to make this remain until the next launch of lf2?
It would be odd if I had to unlock them playing Davis every time I start the game.

Similar when I choose team comrades for stage mode, then a massage appears that multiplayer is not allowed in stage mode or something like that.
I'd be glad about any information you can give regarding this mod; anyway, I didn't find any other information about it than its own readme, which only includes few information about the characters' new/changed moves.

This mod probably uses the "Stage Lock"-System.

So, yes, it is intended that you can only play one player with Davis. Most probably because that stage mode has a story and choosing a different char/playing with more chars would interfere with someding.

Okay, now I know what it is... well, I don't see the point of it, maybe it makes sense to lock the bonus characters, but why all base chars except of davis? o.O Whatever, that's the mod... hmm, is there any possibility for me to edit this stuff so that other characters are authorised to do the stage mode as well? I red somewhere that CE's code would be locked well and it's hard to do that's why I ask... and what exactly would I have to edit?
I know I'm asking for many things, I'm sorry, but help would really be appreciated! Thanks in advance, again. ^^

[off-topic]I'm German, Verraeter -> Verräter is the German word for traitor. This has nothing to do with my person, it's a hint on a namesake of mine in the RPG Gothic II. He is a traitor, and as my first registration to an online community was to one dedicated to the Gothic series, I thought of this to be a funny nickname. After that I never changed it in the internet whenever it was about a video game and every pal wonders what a kind of horrible freak I may be to call even myself a traitor. ^^[/off-topic]

Rammichael locked the dat-files. Things that Rammichael locks are not openable for regular people. Easy as that.
I don't know anybody who has released a decrypter for ce lf2's files, and it was the intention of the author anyways to keep the code hidden.

You shouldn't bother about the code, it's just wasted time, to be honest.

I know I'm asking for many things, I'm sorry, but help would really be appreciated! Thanks in advance, again. ^^

Okay, thank you. Another question to Combined Effort:
In the readme, the author mentions his resources for CE LF2, as most of the stuff this version contains is not by himself but from third authors. These indications are quite precise, so I would like to look for them in order to be able to use a few features he used I think I really must have. Getting them into the game will most likely be easy according to the extensive tutorials I can find here on LFE, but it is very hard to find these sources. Does anyone have an idea where I can look for it? A small hint, that's enough.

To be exact, I love some of Bat's new moves:
Sonic Punch by Sontin or Carl
Vampirism by ξRiver￡流河￡~☆♂ and DaK and himself
and of secundary priority:
Super Sonic Wave by Sam2003 and himself

Does anybody remember one of these quys or has an idea where to find them? Is the author of Combined Effort, Marshall, still in business so I could ask him personally?

Marshall drifts to this forum from time to time so you might be able to catch him here. Otherwise you prob. have a better chance of catching him at the 13th zone.

if you wanted to know, you only have to use davis on the first stage
you can use whoever you want on any other stage
