I just hope people is downloading everyone and not voting for the screens... becuase they are quite different when played in-game =o

I completely agree with you Apoc. People tries try to play these in game before you vote.

My votes went to Derelict and the Oriental Gardens. Also everyone who participated should be proud of themselves, there is some top notch work in here.

I am disappointed though with myself that I wasn't able to finish my entry by the deadline, but I got crammed with school work, what can you do... school comes first. Maybe though I will be able to finish up my entry and post it up for everyone, I was actually quite happy with how it was looking when I had to stop work on it.

I am not sure BP's idea for shrinking the size might be to make sure you actually download and play the BG, that way I the ones with some sort of effects in game get the recognition they deserve. Or he just did that to shrink the size of his post...

Either way, you should not look at them based by the stuff in thread but how they look in game. If you want to compare them side by side take a screen shot.

I voted for:

- Alectric = Great artwork, it looks really good. Probably one of the best I've ever seen.
- ApOcAlIpSiS = Even though it's completely symmetrical and has some weird stuff in it (you already know about the waterfalls...), I like the overall look and it just feels right to play in it.
- Marshall = I simply don't have the words for it...
- Someone else = The dynamic background is awesome. Improve the creatures and the artwork of the background, the fog and the creatures and you'll have all the elements for a top-notch background.
