i suppose i need a video to get proper feedback
featured:
-menu
-friction control (u can define the friction)

bug:
the floor sometimes gets rendered behind the char (dunno y) (this is after i made the char get rendered in front of the floor if his z value is behind the floor's min z boundary but he's still standing on the "floor" coz his bdy zwidth overlaps it)

We're a video-driven society^^
I like the friction thingy on ice :P
Just seems that your randomizer doesn't work like it should^^
And before I forget, the menu looks good so far, just still a bit empty...

The Platform idea is just awesome, but you've still to change the 'walk sprites' ^^' hope to see more in the future.

@dubbleD
yea that works
@Fox
what do u mean by walk sprites? elaborate (I think they're ok? they're lf2 sprites)
@topic
no "progressive" updates, but I've optimized the engine. got some tips from Chiko, and i've made all the sprites stored into arrays, and now the thingy runs much faster ^^. and I just discovered the fps counter at the bottom is inaccurate after the ~60 fps mark (it doesn't go about it, but the game actually can run over that). There's still 1 optmization left that i could do, which is loading the map image sheets (in lf2 it is aka background images) into arrays. right now it's using hashmaps which probably are much slower than arrays.
