Just a small hint from my side: do NOT use fully saturated colors except if you're aiming for a comic-like style. From my own experience I can say that saturation values between 0 and 75% work best, special things like explosions or the like can be fully saturated. But in general, refrain from using those colors .gif)
By the way it really helps if you study elements in real life, look at trees, bushes, etc to get their shape right
