[Animation]"Mask of Darkness" scenario
#1
[]
This could be a mistake, posting it like this, but then again without other people's input it's even worse... rolleyes

Anyway, after a long time I've finally been able to finish my LF2 series scenario for a story called "Mask of Darkness". While I'm struggling to find people to help me make a great animation out of it, I'd like to post the link here and collect as much reviews and creative criticism. Who knows? Maybe I'll find somebody willing to help me animate it? :s

So here's the link to the entire scenario. Read, enjoy, review... cool

Hm, Serbian? Interesting.

Anyways. Read parts of the script and it looks quite promising, actually. It's supposed to be a flash movie?

I do have some experience in Flash animating ;)

Since the LF2 animation I was working on has been on ice for a pretty long time already I don't know, I might help you. I like the script. (I don't even have a script, I just animate and think about what MIGHT happen next. That's a bad way to do a movie, yes. :D)

How do you imagine the dialogue, with real audio or just text on screen?

Here's the thing: at first I though about real audio, then when I couldn't find actors I decided for text, THEN once I found a couple of people who are willing to give voices I finally figured it was best to have BOTH. ;)

I've had a lot of different experiences with working/leading a group and the most important thing to remember is "Be prepared for anything". That's why I think it's best to do the dialogues like only text until a couple of episodes are finished. Doing voice acting is something extra and can be added later on - if the project is going well, that is. cool

However, I know/did a couple of tricks to made the dialogue more interesting/appealing while still being readable. For now: my lips are sealed. :|

In that case - if you're going to get a team here, I'd be willing to do the animations

I totally suck in designing things though =p

You can view a sample of my LF2 Flash Contribution (the earlier movies were like REALLY bad) here http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/477328 although it's a bit outdated :D don't have anything newer released yet but my animating improved since then.

This is going better then anticipated: I though I'd only get reviews, but now I actually found a team! :O

Alright then! I'll PM everybody who's interested as soon as we start the project. Meanwhile, feel free to practice making different scenes, make effects or just tell suggestions about the scenario. :)

As to where to upload, anywhere will be fine for now (YouTube, Newgrounds.com, FileShare, Photobucket, etc, etc...)

Be sure to post us a link here so we can check it out. ;)

Announcements:
There's been a change of plans in the "graphic department", so we will probably not be getting the special portraits unless contributed by another artist. I'm still casting for the role of "Dennis" for the monologue speech from the beginning of the scenario. :)

In other news, I am preparing sprites for characters and new moves. So far I finished creating the "Special Forces" skin for Jack (might just add rifles later). It can be downloaded from the attachment below. ;)

Other then that I also made Deep's walking and standing sequence with his sword on his back and some punches for Dennis. These are all prototypes and will need some optimizing before they are used. I'll spend more time creating new moves. My biggest challenge with which I'm definitely going to need help is making LouisEX fight without his staff. This will be a major pain, but I feel it's necessary since Louis is one of the main characters... 8)

Dennis' punches are slowed down in this image

LouisEx without staff - done 93% (more info)

The animated portraits, another resource for the series, will be added in this thread (spoiler below).
