CE-LF2 Latest?
#1
Is there someone who can give me a link to download the latest CE-LF2 version?
I heard about 0.1, 0.1beta, 0.2beta and 0.3beta.
But is there a 0.2 version already?
Someone clarify please.
Also, what's the difference of 0.2beta/0.3beta in 0.1?
Is everything in 0.3beta there in 0.1?
Link to beta pls.
Please answer my questions.
Thanks! (Just a newbie here.)

sorry dude
0.1 is the latest, because while Marshall was making it, his computer crashed and lost all his progress, and a little upset by that, he stopped work on it all together.
so 0.1 i think is the only version of it left. (or publicly i think)

the data files and sprites for these got wiped when marshall's computer burned out, so, there's no hope getting them

Haha... quite interesting to see a number of threads about CE LF2 :P
Since I am the (pseudo) author, I guess no one should complain about me grave digging, right?

To be honest, I've managed to squeeze some debris of the mod from my failed hard disc so the last shown updates are still more or less intact. However, given the current state of LF2 modding, I doubt I would release any other versions. Frankly speaking, CE is still stuck in the 1.9 times and now we even have 2.0a, so that's two version ago already. With all the crazy HEX coding that has been developed since, I can't help but think the mod is way over its time.

However, I do think the mod has served it's purpose in one way or another, i.e. mentioning some old modders of yore whom deserve more appreciation of their experimentation, whether the outcome is good or bad by todays standards. The further updates that were intended was only some debugging and polish some existing moves (okay, maybe that was exaggerating, I had quite a few new moves and deleted quite a few as well). A stage mode was planned at some point, but I doubt I would even get there... Looking back now, it would seem like a casual player's dream and they would be like "zomg! Moves galore!!11", but for me it's too way too much. I have not put much thought in balancing, character design, overlapping of moves etc etc

So perhaps it's best to have laid this old timer to rest.
