v2.0 throwing bug? curious...

i have just noticed while i was just playing, that rudolf has been doing something weird. i dont know if anyone already knows and correct my noobiness if they do but i thought i saw rudolf doing this (twice actually):

rudolf had a knife in his hand, then he went to throw it at me. but then, somehow, he didnt throw it even though he went through the throwing frames. he looked like he changed his mind before throwing it. rudolf then took a step sideways to get a better aim at me, and then threw it

:s :s :s :s

EDIT: hmm...exe crashed...maybe it had something to do with the +799 frames or the modification. was testing my character at the time.

Sounds terribly familiar. I've produced this one myself but I don't remember how. But I know for sure that I did this. Was quite funny actually, although I never exploited it for online-play :P

i would have loved to be able to do it though. it just adds an additional concept for weapons.
man...i cant get it working again...
and i do remember this definately happened. cos i got so pissed at rudolf after faking his throw and hitting me XD

I've seen AI Rudolf do this too, and coming across this ancient thread, I was sad that the answer was not contained herein. So I experimented in vain for a while, forgot about it for a few weeks, and in the end the answer seems really obvious, given that I noticed early on that you can practically-instantly transition from Rudolf's weapon run attack to doing pretty much anything else. So yeah, to do it you do a weapon run attack then immediately holding a direction key (so as to start walking). But wait, I said weapon run attack, not a weapon run throw... well it turns out the first two sprites for Rudolf's run attack are the same (to my eye) as the first two sprites for his light weapon throw.

Also, not specific to v2.0. Is specific to Rudolf. It's because he has state: 0 in frame 37 when he should have state: 3.
