nah i usually use 1px but i blur and also some why when i upload to lfe it blurs to me more O_O

the only problem have is that arms look a little short, and pants are way too big and look like he is in mid stride :P

he's got no chin
he's pretty plain of a character
the hair needs to be a bit more detailed in my opinion
same with the face
i dont really like his pants either...just the way they are shaded i guess, and also the colour.

how about something a little more original? -instead of just one person standing there with some weird clothes
like i dont know, a new stance? weapons?

Don't rush your spriting
There are many flaws in this sprite. For an instance, look at the shaded part of the hair. It isn't textured.
The clothes look like they are pillow shaded (especially the pants), and the eyes look generaly wierd. His upper body is bigger than his lower body.
And I don't know about his pose, there is something 'wrong' about it, you know these kind of things you just can't point out.

Don't get me wrong, you have improved a great lot
Just give yourself some more time and try to develop getting proportions right :P

the main problem i am having with your sprites is the eyes...they are just a 2pxl vertical line.
eyes are meant to be round, or bigger than what you usually do.
also, the mouth and nose are a little to dark, maybe use a lighter shade.

Then you can simply work on it.

Also, I think that you have a good spriting style, though.
And yeah, don't rush your spriting, take your time, and maybe then you won't be so ''sucky'' on the sprites.
