[CHAR] Eragon [Need spriter] [UPDATED 3rd JAN]
#1
So... I'm an Eragon fan (The book by Christopher Paolini, didn't like the movie much) and was hoping there was an eragon-lf2 character. Didn't find any. So I decided to make one ^_^
I started around 2 weeks ago, but didn't post th project at first coz I wanted to be sure I was up to the challenge.

Now about the title, I understand that there's no request forum for a reason, but I just put the [need spriter] in the hope I find some eragon-fan out there willing to help me before I'm done with the base data. So its kinda like a side note, I'm still taking suggestions for some moves and still working on it, and I'll try to sprite myself, if I can't find anyone -.-

I'm done with most of the basic moves data, but they look crappy thanks to the sprites (I made a few of the sprites myself, and didn't bother to change the character sprites in the frames. So yeah an arrow comes out when he seems to be drinking o.O) Most of the moves are spells used often by Eragon in the book, while one or two are a few words I put together.
PS - This is only my second character Shock
Here's a few screen shots -

Yeah, I know most of the moves look like basic rip offs, but I'm not done yet. I'll be designing two different hell-moves, and changing the sword-combo (Add a sword, add more strikes, change the ending), and after I've done a few more sprites, they'll look much more unique, eg. I'll change the explosion and the last move won't look like Julian's ball, i'll try to make it look like "Compressed Water"

Basic move data is approximately 60% done. I'll be done in no time.

I'm also thinking of adding Waise-Heill (Heal) and a few more moves.

I'm still hoping someone will help me with the sprites. This could turn into a good character with some good sprites.

Still haven't found a spriter, so I decided to try making a simple standing frame, taking dennis as a base.

( The top right side sun-like thingy is just a lightsource for my referrence.)

Took me around half an hour >.> Its my first sprite after 2 years and my third sprite overall >.< I think its not too bad, comment please. I made a sheath for Zar'roc, too, but it didn't look good. I realize its the farmboy version, I'll probably do the armour version too, but this was easier atm. And I'm thinking whether to give him a blue sword (Brisingr) or red (Zar'roc)? Any ideas?

I'm basically just working on the Eragon char for now, but yes, I may put Saphira in one of his moves. And later I'll make a separate Saphira char. Who knows, maybe more?

So, can you help out?

Thanks. But if you have some time, you could help with some sprites. Like some of the attacks or maybe the basic standing and moving sprite sheet or something :S The main problem is I don't have much time to do both spriting and DCing. I might be able to the attacks myself, but the sprites would look crappy if I tried to turn Dennis into Eragon.

C'mon, they're not ugly. I just checked them out, and they're fine. The problem here isn't ugliness, its the problem of making hundreds of sprites with same hairstyle, same composition and same hair. Just try reoclouring his clothes, coz his clothes are slightly same in shape to the farmboy style eragon. (In the beginning of the movie)

Well, just show me your work when you're done. Just create a standing sprite first, to see how it looks. Oh and a bow on his back and a red-bladed sword in his hand would be good.

Practise makes perfect - to reach a level of spriting that you will finally accept the character with, you should learn to sprite it yourself. This would be a whole new level of self accomplishment.

I would have offered to help, but I've got my own tasks to achieve - The film was pretty crap wasn't it? I'm much more a fan of the book - because the film destroyed the best parts of the book. Poetic license isn't good.
One day, I shall become, TUTORIAL-MAN: Superhero of writing overly long, overly annoying tutorials which most people probably won't read, but will give it a stab at the first 5 lines!

I'm an eragon-fan, too, but to be honest, this char disappoints me
those moves aren't interesting nor hard to do, but simply overpowered
just a changing of facing values and some added opoints...
it's rly nothing special atall...
