Alectric's later sprites
#21
(11-30-2009, 10:09 PM)Alectric Wrote:  nah i dont really like lf2 proportions, they look to much like they have some over-growth disorder.
i try and implement my own proportions, though i admit the guitar guy is out of proportion.
and the zombie is meant to look skinny like that :D

agreed with this man, over-growth disorder. The proportions only work well I've noticed when urm, Marti did it. Other than that, some of the effects looked a bit odd. (hell-fighters, siegvars and apocs sprites using the same kind of proportions were not included in this - cos they is 1337?)

nice works by the way alec, especially liking the wierd assassin :D

dude i totally love it, especially the 3rd one! ;)
also i don't really care about what kind of proportion as long as it looks right...
thats all that matters, is the way it looks, nothing as to be exact, not size, color or proportion as long as it looks appealing to the eye... :)

just finished this one, it took quiet a long time, because i've never drawn a snake like that before, so it was a learning experience, and i enjoyed it :D

1st sprite
Woah dude epic snake sprite...
i would have liked it better if it was a bit bigger for my taste (LF-sized)
2nd sprite
Also there is a sudden awkwardness in the legs (in one of the frames)
check it out (i think it's the part when they both cross) ;)
it's 15/100 speed (if ur using the gif animator)
if gimp then (150ms)
other than that it's ok...

I'm trying to imagine that char with snake. Well, I know these are just sprites, not spirte-sheets or whatsoever, but if there would be a chance to make sprite-sheets quick, I would love to see them. Sadly, I don't know any tool, which you could do it quick, without any boredom (?).

So yea: 10/10 for you own style, 10/10 for the fisrt pic, 9.9/10 for second (though, I hope it'll look perfect in game *hint*)
Keep up the good work!!

Haha, love the zombie-one! Brainzzzzzzzz........
No really, very well done, mate. As already pointed out, there is a flaw in the animation but nevertheless, great stuff! :)
