Alright thanks guys I'll give it a shot....

Well done, but my suggestion now is to start shading it afterwards, you might have proportions. But to me that's as good as a flat drawing. It's 2D and apart from the hair, has no real shading.
One day, I shall become, TUTORIAL-MAN: Superhero of writing overly long, overly annoying tutorials which most people probably won't read, but will give it a stab at the first 5 lines!

Umm.. Okay thanks TrueHomo but it's not even close to lf2 proportions.... I mean it would be fine if it were smaller (i guess..)
, but seriously the proportions are VERY off... I recognize that now of course (mostly because in the beginning i never really cared) but okay...

meh i used to use paint when i first started spriting but then eventually started using progs like gimp,photofiltre...
well paint can be quite useful sometimes but now always. when you wanna make some final touches on your sprite you will gonna have to use a prog sooner or later.
@alec: awesome sprite man. cant believe its done in paint.
