lfo mod, spriter,
#1
i read a post recently saying that making lfo characters might get marti wong in trouble, if so that way to bad i was gonna make a lfo/lf2 splice theme mod, of the game i would gladly put it out for public download i just wanted to know if anyone could make these characters OMG that would be awesome.
i am into drawing, im even gonna make my own my own comic but i wanna get into DCing so i would need a sprite maker. i found this sprite of ricky, and if you guys know the sprite maker of this one i would like to get in contact with him so basiccly what i need is
-pro DCer
-pro spirte maker, to make lfo sprites
-the guy who made this ricky sprite

Okay.

1. Wrong section

2. If you want people to join your mod, then by all means DON'T REQUEST THEM TO. Basically don't PM them repeatedly and all.
Don't get me wrong, you didn't do anything like that yet, this is just a warning to prevent things like this happening.

3. What I suggest you is to slowly start with your mod yourself, and then see if people are interested. Then maybe some sprites/DCers/whatever will join.

4. I dunno about this LFO stuff, but if it is forbidden to make characters from LFO, then maybe you shouldn't be doing this.

Point is that Marti sold the copyrights of Little Fighter to U1 Technology. Technically, when you create Little Fighter characters, it's considered "copyright infringement", which is a serious crime. Why nobody sues you? Because it'd be kinda useless to accuse a bunch of kids. This means: creating LF2-chars (especially "porting" LFO-contents to LF2) is not allowed but tolerated.

With that being said, asking others to join a mod is relatively hopeless. Nothing against you, but you're fairly unknown among LFE-members, therefore there will be a lot of guys who are suspicious. And, imagine being in the situation of us: why should we help a "stranger"? We don't know if the project has chances to be successful at all. The more already has been done (screenshots are always a big plus), the higher the probability that people want to join.

Good luck in your project.

The sprite was created by a spriter named TinoX way back in the day. I doubt you could get in touch with him now unless you did some digging around the old lf2 official forum (meaning that new one they linked you to). Good luck with your mod, I am not sure how TinoX would react to this... I would have something to show to him first if you try.

I stand corrected. Thank you for clearing that up. I am sorry for any miscommunication on my behalf. I do believe Myaku is correct here... sorry, it has been quite a while since I have thought about 'the old days'.
