[solved] Hiding (For Unlimited Time)

First, I'm New here I'm very glad to join such great forum.

While I was creating my own character, I wanted him to use Rudolf Hiding move for unlimited time, but I found out that wasn't easy, because the Rudolf's hiding move time can't be changed.

So I had another Idea (Inspired by Goku SSJ4 from DragonBall Z 3.0 Mod), if anyone played this mod, and pressed Jump+Defend while playing with Goku SSJ4, The Character will "Fly" and stay high from the ground "similar to if he was standing on an invisible platform".

The idea behind that move is that they created 2 characters, the first one transforms to the other one when "defend" is pressed on the Jump frames, The second character will appear and will be like 1 foot high from the ground, and if Jump+defend was pressed again, he transforms back to the first character.

Sooo, what I'm trying to say is: why don't we follow the same steps and create two characters, except that the second character won't be only 1 foot high, he will be on a very high distance (above the bars, so he can't be seen), and when the player press on Jump+defend again, the character will transform back to be in his normal state, so it will be just like if he is hiding ( if we added rudolf smoke ).

In that case, the player will be able to start the hiding move and end it at the time he wants, no time limit.

so what do you think, is it right?

The idea is simple:
The transformed char has a high centery, causing the pic to be above the bar...

But you could also just use pic:9999 will be same invisible...

However, logo will still be there and enemys (AI) will still attack you.


For real continous (imba) invisibility just add the rudolph-disappearing frame on many frames (f.e. in a standing one)

hmmm...

yes you're right, but still one thing is missing, I wanted the player to have control over the disappearing time, rudolf's move doesn't allow that...

must find the best of both

So, you want to make it easy to control a character and make him invisible, too?

If so, I would suggest making something like a transform with some filters (that would make the character almost invisible, like alpha channel, hopefully :< ), and maybe erase bdy. and bla
I think I might missed you there, anyways.

For the control-over-invisible-time:
Like Alblaka said, make the char transform and then have alot of "invisible-tags".
Only, that the invisible-times are actually very short. So, if he transforms back, he'll be visible in a short time again.

about the invisibility
i have an idea

but one draw back

you can be seen flashing for a few moments before going back invisible

you have a t3 with a itrk8 which will react with your char when hes used up all the time
the t3 will direct to a frame with a itrk3 to catc hte char to a frame whre he hides again

Thanks, but this doesn't actually solve it, (as I said, I want the player to control the disappearing time).

BUT I had another idea, what if the char transformed into a second character (like the secret char god in ntsd 2.4), as I think, enemies don't attack him, so if I could make a char similar to god I think that will fix my problem.

For example:-

DJA to transform into invisible char (god)
DJA again to get back to the normal char

But the point is, God IS using the rudolph-invisibility (at least i guess so) since he isn't in need to get visible again. Same problem as before.
