New character! {Arctic Wolf}
#11
The hair looks much better now, although I'm thinking you should just raise the hairline a bit. Plus, the old face looked better imo. The new one's just kinda weird.

I think the shirt might look better if you simplified it to mainly plain white (or light grey), and the shading, instead of the blotchy pattern it is now.

Aaand it's official. This has already gotten more comments than my latest character :/

The overall design looks very nice to me. The shading isn't bad either. However, it seems to me that you more concentrated on texture than shading. What I mean is that you did a nice job on all those folds of his clothes, but the basic shading (left part of every arm, leg, body is darker than right part, from our view of course) isn't strong enough. Also you mostly need a stronger shading for light colours (especially white).
The face actually is ok. The problem with it is what Jed37 said: As the character is supposed to look slightly to the right side, his right eye (our perspective) is supposed to be smaller than the left one. In your sprite it is the other way round.
Anyway, this character is on a good way. Keep going.

Just a lil update. I erased then completely changed the hair a bit. I didn't want to shade the shirt in to dark, because it is supposed to be sorta fuzzy. That is all.

The head appears to be a bit small to me....and I see the potbelly problem is fixed. Although he looks a bit hunchbacked to me now. I think it's because of the shape of the body. It shouldn't curve in when it gets to the shoulder. Also, the hair is a bit odd because you can see the hair has two parts.
A nice improvement from your last one.

You need to smoothen your shading, it looks very messy at the moment. Look at the LF2 characters, notice how the hair is shading, yours look random, outline the hair lines, then shade over them. The face doesn't look right, smoothen out the shading, the eyes look too much at the right, instead of straight in perspective with the sprite. Plus, where's the neck?

Why is there that much space between the arm and body (in consideration of the shirt)? It's too rigid, don't be afraid to experiment. The pants look fine, just add some highlights on the right side of the pants to show which the light source.

I redid the shading on the hair.. Fixed the space between the arms/body. I (think) I fixed the hunchback problem. And gave him a NECK! Also made the face better.
