Just make 2 fields for username and 3 for password (instead 1/2) upon registration.

I don´t know is it working idea but atleast it is easy to make?

Upon registration, you have to enter your username once, then your password, and then you need to confirm your password again.

Against bots, just make a "username confirmation" and a "password confirm confirmation", forcing you to enter your username 2 times and the password 3 times.

I don't think something like that was ever used in a forum and therefore it's unlikely bots can break it.

Actually, bots will probably just scan the page for keywords such as 'Password' and 'Username' - more than likely will accomplish it.

You're probably looking at validation and verification emails at this point if you don't already have them. If you do, lord save us from bots.

ARGH!!

we know the problem, but it`s hard to solve is and tired of saying "I see what I can do", cause I`m afraid there`s not much I can do.

This thread gets on my nerves, of course you can do a lot, maybe lets allow registrations with webcams only and I wanna see the new idiot registrating here, or maybe we should ask credits-card numbers to registrate here and request 50 dollar - would at least solve the payment, maybe mayb maybe, argh!

And somehow I`m afraid if I let this thread open it turn out as a forum game with new suggestions how to lock bots - I think I go to games section next and create a game called "how to trash bots" or "how to lock bots from my forum" or "how do i get MH pissed of", maybe I make a poll requesting which you guys prefer, not sure yet, maybe I move my account to disposal, maybe my eyes dont work and accidently i trash yours, not sure yet...
