issue opening LF2 2.0a

i tried to open up the game and it gave me an error stating "the application has failed because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail". I figured maybe it got corrupted so i re-installed it from the old website but same error message. any solution for this?

You forgot to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86):
