New Tournament participance rule

Rule Suggestion: To all official tournaments you can only join if

-you've rank: beginner
-you've at last five points

you can gain teh rank or the points with private tournaments and 1vs1 battles.

I want to avoid dropouts and less-interested players in tournaments. Like Noir I get p***** off by this moral.

I don't think the points are the problem.
It's rather the time difference and moral/behavior.

Just set a date to fight.
But it's too hard for some people (for some reason) to be online on the stipulated time.
I guess it's better those people shouldn't join your tournaments.
They are not dependable!
You hear me? DON'T JOIN HIS TOURNAMENTS

But don't worry, every tournament with "deadline" has this kind of delay.

ah and I could also manage it way easier: LFE-Tournaments (never started one) mean that you need a special rank to join - I can simply start only these to make it harder for newbies... and create less normal tournaments...

There are some people around here that are not really good at fighting. Sooner or later you'll find people that are worse than you. And getting 10 points then is more than easy
I just don't recommend people like Noir, Az, etc to challenge, they might beat the **** out of ya :P

There are tons of people you can ask, and I'm pretty sure that, when you get the chance, you'll get these 10 points in like one or two weeks

lets look at the results for now: actually the guys which have a lower rank surely vote for the nothing-needed solution, but then I wonder why some of these guys (I dont think about the three gus which voted for last option so far) simply dont fight a pity...

we need people who are active/dependable. Take Oz, he's not the best fighter out there, but he's almost always online. we need more Oz's (or at least people with the dependability of him).

Like the start of tournament 05, almost no one came online in room 5 for 2 weeks, me being online from 8 am to 12am (or sometimes 1~2 am) gmt +12 (no dst then). only people I saw more than once were cooper, Oz, and Podly, and perhaps Megatron. Ribben did turn up once.
