Give info on member type

Hi everyone. Something that might improve the website and especially the forums whould be that members shoul get a message from one of the admins of when and how they'll get to a certain rank. EX: I keep posting posts to help other people or to improve the website. Then I get a message from MH Razen that keep the good work up and you'll become a " helpfull member from a newcomer in this much time period: Blah blah ". It'll make the members alot more helpfull and not become rule breakers. To amke it short: It'll raise their LFE Spirits into this site improvements. If u think about it, It ain't that bad of an idiea....

I would think this is unnecessary because
firstly, there is already the helpful member rank once you reach 250 posts, and as long as no one spams too much, the given member rank will more or less reflect on the member's level of helpfulness.

secondly, there's the Thanks plugin that also reflects on the number of better posts that the member has posted. course, we still need to hope that every Thank that is made is not pointless

thirdly, there's special groupds like Advanced DCer etc. You'd need to work your way up to get to w/e ranks.

fourthly, there's the reputation plugin as well. That's for more detailed Thanks which include comments if it's a positive rep.

he's totally right - the rank youhave is automatically given. I can't care about more then 1000 members myself and read very thread and so - no way for doing this. But in case I like a member and his acting I always give him a good reputation.

about you "keep posting", erm, you have 9 posts and 4 or so came from this thread and your problem thread a bit less. Your next rank sarts at 25 as far as I remember, but actually I don't really want to tell the ranks cause this might cause spamming

Sorry if I kinda bugged u. But thanx alot azriel for the info. And... uh MH..... I only gave an example of the me posting thing. Anyways... there's kinda a problem with my signature. i wanna post my signature in the edit signature part in user cp. I tried it with the image tag by doing this: insert image. and then copie pased the url which is:C:\Documents and Settings\XPPRESP3\My Documents\Bar.PNG. But no pic. Only the img tag typing. Any help? Answers will be pleased

wrong way to do it
the server can't get any information of your personal pc
otherways everybody could spy you
load it up on a site like tinypic or Clicky favourite
then copy the link in the advanced linking and post it into your signatur.
at imageshack it is so
dunno about what it is on tinypic
within the [img] tags
just copy the link into the [img] tag
