I've been wondering...about gif?

I've been wondering how do u make pics move on just one frame...
like signatures, or atleast some...?
I've been looking at alot & it seems they are .gif?
what do gif, jpg, png, stand for???
I already know what .bmp stands for cause I use it alot "Bitmap image"
Do I need some sort of program to make a picture move?

gif - good if you need small or animated images
jpg/jpeg - use for bigger images on the net. They're pretty efficient regarding filesize-dimensions-ratio.
png - high-quality images. Only use them if you need >256 colors, otherwise, use gif. Quite big filesize.
bmp - most unefficient image type. Not recommended for web.

i hate gif software
it just seems to be problem after problem.
(these are probs i have had with gif makers)
1. lowers quality drastically
2. puts symbol in corner or "UNREGISTERED"
3. dont work at all, makes the gifs, but cant preview them
4. all want you to register the product...

Just use photoshop or flash to make GIF. They never have that "UNREGISTERED" thing.

btw, anybody here know how to fix the fading problem went you publish a GIF by flash 8.0?

Try searching "Gif animator" on google, and find something like "Gif animator", which is an old software for making gif.
It's easy to use, just C&P ^^
