Trio Mortale [MOD]

First: Moin, my name is Alblaka, a fan of dragons, fantasy AND (of course) LF ^^
Hope to learn some nice things to improve my LF2 Modding Skills...

Now to the topic of this tread:
TRIO MORTALE
is a nearly finished modification of mine for Little Fighter II (v2.0).
First, i only planned to make 3 characters (therefore the Trio in the name), but now it are 5 and a sixth is coming soon.

But i was never got in drawing anything (besides cubics, no good idea for sprites), so i decided to use the basic sprites of already existing chars.
And of course a few attacks are same like the old chars (from whom i took the sprites from), but mostly they are replaced, modified or entirely remade.

The 5 finished characters are:
ONIMARU - The Samurai [Rudolph's sprites]
- Brawler, high damage attacks
AMAYA - The Dark Wizard [Justin's sprites]
- Supporter, useless if noone protects him
RIM - The Melee Master [David's sprites]
- Balanced fighter, even when he definitely prefers melee
AVIEN - The Elementarist [Freeze's sprites]
- Mage with a big amount of fire, ice and storm basing attacks for every range
KAMIL - The Ranger [Henry's sprites]
- Archer which is even more distance-needing then all other characters

The 6th character will be a melee fighter with some support abilitys, like calling more characters into battle (weak ones of course).

Some more infos to this mod:
-It only uses existing .bmp and .wav files, only .dat files have to be copied (and some changes in the data.txt of course)
-All characters are balanced, even when i concentrated on making them balanced vor PvP and not for Stage Mode, sometimes that affects slightly...
-There are still some bugs with the wpoints, i have to fix that: Sometimes weapons hang somewhere in the air next to the characters.
-Every effect, which moves can trigger is WANTED. Really, in the effects are no bugs, even when it sometimes looks so (for example in Amaya's Hell Curse).


I hope you dl, test and enjoy the mod ^^
If someone has tips or bugreports for me, pls post them here, so i can improve the mod and fix the bugs.
I'm only a beginner, surely there will be some things...

AND if someone offers to draw or alter sprites for the characters, i would be very happy, i really suck at drawing... :/

Your mod is not that special.
The moves are not very creative or complex and you should really use some new sprites or edited sprites.
And the waiting time is sometimes very long.

If you mean waiting time = loading time : It depends on other running programms and of course it takes longer then the normal LF2.
If you mean the move times: Yes, cuz the moves are mostly VERY powerful. Makign them quick would be IMBA.
And like i said above, i cannot draw sprites...

You should use some graphics program like photofiltre.
You can recolor the chars. Or add some blinblingspecial-effects or something.
That is not too hard for you i think and it would make your mod much better.
Some moves are a bit weak. And other moves like Henry's D^J don't do any big effect.

Ever used Kamil's move in melee? THAT has a nice effect. But yes, it is kinda weak, but with more arrows they crush themselves >.> And it is still useful to... uhmm... Come on, it looks nice, doesn't it?
Some moves are weak? Lol, i though i made the most ones to strong XD I think, referred to the mass of attacks every char has, weak attack should be ok, don't they? For example Onimaru's attacks cost much mp. But therefore he not even needs any big special moves to simply stab everyone in melee.
I could try changing some colours, but if i said, i suck at drawing i really meant it: I suck in everythign what has to do with colour. Really EVERYTHING.

Okay, whatever..
you mean some unrealistic itr's with fire or ice effect? or any dvy: -30 or something? or maybe this imba bug-move with foot kick on the ground with justin?
you should read some tutorials or look into other mods. with a graphics program you can change colors without any knowlege about spriting.
Or maybe you should search for another hobby.

Where are unrealistic elemental attacks?
dvy -30? That must be one of Rims attack or maybe Amaya's Dark Ritual.
But wth you mean "foot kick on ground"? You could mean the Shadow Wrath of Amaya, but there is no foot, but a hand. And like i said in my first post, the attacks are balanced AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS. Besides the fact, that the attack is slow, it deals only low damage for high energy cost. Sure, against many foes it's damn effective, but in 1on1 it's totally useless.

This colour changing programm sounds interesting, could you please give me a name or a link? And i read tutorials, only btw... mostly DC-ones, but spriting ones too.

Or maybe i should simply try more, this was my first mod ;) (The first for LF2)

It's one of the basic functions of most graphic programs. Try GIMP or PhotoFiltre. If you want to spend some money, take Photoshop.
