Hello there. Maybe someone will think, that this plan is holy crap, but try to read this thread from top to the bottom.
So, let's start.
What's exactly clan?
[1.1] Clan is group of people, where they are playing for one side (so, if it's ment in PC gaming, they are playing game for one side as one group).
So clan is explained. Now, why did it occured me?
[2.1] Well, easy. Read fully point 3.
How will fights look?
[3.1] Ok, so I will show here, how players ( Clan A member 1: A1, member 2: A2, clan B member three: B3 ) will fight against each others:
Currently, we have no way, how to fight TWO against TWO, or, okay, we do, but there's still some "clearly-going" VPN program missing (for showing 2nd persons desktop). So, currently, it will (better said SHOULD) look like this:
A1 against B1
A2 against B2
A3 against B3
A4 against B4
or also
A1 against B3
A4 against B2
A2 against B4
A3 against B1.
[3.2] Players ammount is not set, so if in A clan will be 8 members and in clan B will be 4 members and match will be played as 4 vs 4, from clan A will not play 4 players and from clan B will be required every player to play.
[3.3] You can't play two duels in one match.
[3.4] Match is played for TWO wins, so score can be maximally 1:2+x ties, so player from clan B will win against player from clan A by one point with score 2:1 plus x ties (tie is, if they will die both in duel).
[3.5] If clanmatch will be 4 vs 4, and clan A will win 3 of 4 duels, so score will be 3:1, clan A wins then. If clan match will be tie, so 2:2, then will be last duel (f.e. player A3 vs. B2) and they will fight again for TWO wins (more -> point [3.4]).
[4.1] Function keys F5 ~ F9 are disabled for clan match. (yes, it's right... F5 is frame-booster, or how is it called)
[4.2] When it's counted to any stats, use print screen button, when the match table will appear.

[EDIT] (for Zanzin) It's ment for current progress of LF2 (4 players exe or servers aren't published yet)
[EDIT] (for zero_legends) Normal person says "I play this for fun". With Silvas "4 players exe" LF2 players can play clan_wars for fun (as again will say normal person)

There are some LF2Clans wich are fighting together and with silvas or chikos 4player exe there is a way to play teammatches.

Which clans? How do they play it? Simple questions, maybe harder answer for you.

Like lf2-Hacker and them it's Silva's 4 player exe. that will do the trick but since it's already NOT released , this idea's gotta wait.

I think that it isn't really necesarry since LFE already has tournaments and the " tournaments " have particepents. Which the list already gets madew like :

Azriel vs. Kadajnoir

Megatron vs. Doj

So , the " clan " idea IMOP isn't really necesarry.

I don't think, that it's necessary too. But, why do we play LF2? Let's think about this question for a while. After many minutes, normal person will say "for fun, when we've got nothing to do".
Why do I want to make in here some clan "forum"? Again for FUN. Isn't this simple? And also, as you said, by using Silvas 4 player exe can be clan matches played well...

The idea of clans in general could be useful, but your planning of the matches is... uhmm... strange and complicated.

there should not be a need to release any exe. the php thing is an online server and it can handle multiple instances of games (we know that from the public test).

for the clan battle idea, it could be implemented if there are enough people in active clans to fight, and put in the tournament system (which essentially means this "should" be in the tournament discussion but hey we're not a super rule-imposing society). and the way the stuff works probably does need to be re-written for easier understanding.
