New Style Concept
#1
Well I have been drawing a lot of concept sketches for a new spriting style concept I have been working on. Its a hybrid style I would say, but I am very happy with results. Please criticize to your fullest to extent, I would like to know how to improve it or if it should be left to die.

[edit] I was looking at the sprite I realized the left leg is a little off... will be fixed

It looks really good already.

Your looking for critisism, But there's very little obviousness to improve on.
Here's what I could find:

Your character's right forearm seems a bit short and skinny,
I realize the length has to do with the angle of his arm,
some shadowing for the light that's blocked by his body would help.

And your character's weapon looks like it dulls at the part of the
blade near the hand. (but this could be intentional...)

As for questions:
Is he wearing an eyepatch?
What are the things hanging from his shorts?(or are they suspenders?)
And, out of pure curiousity, which program are you using?

Regardless, Hope this was of some use:)
Trust you're all well.

I've seen it over time that you've been developing your own approach of creating sprites and it looks like you're getting a perfectionist at it. At first glance, the image looks realistic, yet still has a little cartoonish look -- perfect for LF2-sprites :)

As for his right arm; I assume that his hand is in his pocket to justify the shortness of the forearm. Also, it looks like it is a little less trained (aka. skinnier) than the other arm, which doesn't look right to me.

You've become quite famous for always finding a way of hiding the eyes. Same here. But, to be brutally honest, you should try making the eyes in here. I don't really like the fact that both eyes are covered. At least one eye should be visible....

Yep, that's all I can think of right now. As I said, try getting some eyes in there ;)

Yes, I might get in to why if I decide to develop the character further

They are adjusters, the can loosen or tighten the shorts.

Quite good as usual =p

The only thing bothering me is the face... it's really "thin" right now (Probably you wanted it to be like that, but I think some more pixels there would make it look better)
