thats right, i am makin' a char!


(and i realise in the standing frame his jacket gets weirdly longer )

i decided to start this project because i got some positve feed back on my thread Here
im not sure what moves i am gonna give him yet, maybe stuff to do with smoke (sorry lf2timme1)
he looks a bit like my rep char, but oh wells
i think people find him awesome is coz of his top hat!

(also if you have a better name, please tell me coz steve was just thought of then )

Well, I know what he looks like:
A magician!! ('real life performer' not 'videogame spellcaster')

So why not give him some moves based around magic tricks?

Yea, the face-pic might needs some work on it. It is comparably small. Usually, the face fills up like 80-90% of the entire image.

I see that you've developed your own style, every sprite I've seen from you in the last time has some elements which stay the same. Not that it is bad, in fact, I like it
The hat is still the most awesome part, I love it!

About the attacks, there was one thing that immediately got into my mind: he lifts his hat and some doves come out. Whether they chase or not is your choice :P

'Bout attacks, in some Kirby game, there was an awesome magic ability...It had doves flying out of the hat and a jack in the ehm...hat and loads of stuff...*searching for sheet*

wow, thats an awesome idea for a move!
i know the face pic is small, thats probably because i had some problem with my photoshop, and i flattened the image, and it got saved like that, so adjusting it looked bad and blurry...i will try and fix that up, though my style of face spriting is smaller to get more of the char in. (but i will retry ) he should look a little more evil, as i want him to be a bad guy
i also realise i dont use enough colour in chars, and BG's (empty world, steve, grey henry, rooftop...the list goes on )

looking great there, keep it up. its gonna make a great original character
IMO, if i were able to, i would give him an umbrella (umbrella??? just read on) as a weapon. those short retractable ones cos i got a whole lotta ideas and combos for them.
theres the simple wacking and stuff, then you stab and then shoot-extend the umbrella for a combo. just sweep open the umbrella and knock people off their feet...float down from the sky...jump more than once in the sky...stuff like that...
but its up to you how you want to make it.
