Download Photofiltre, easy enough to find with google. Open the spritesheet with it, select color you want to use, select the frame you want to give a glow to, select line tool, turn width all the way up, and draw over the frame using a low opacity setting for the line tool. I suggest 10% or so, but it's up to you.

Do you mean like this. If that's the case, just fire up photofiltre, go to adjust>replace colour range, set the tolerance level to 200, and move the upper slider to the colour you want your aura to be.

What's my solution? Chopped liver? I'm pretty sure it'll give the effect you were looking for

...Without changing the overall color of the character.

@Jed37, I never said you were wrong, did I. I just said that this was also a way to do that. BTW, the aura of truong.... looks better than mine and yours.
