im not sure a lot of people know how to use a base properly, so i have written this tut, in the hope that the quality/originality of sprites posted will pick up.

btw, i dont actually use this method myself, because i know the lf2 proportions pretty well, so usually skip ahead the the skin part, and as a result, usually have chars that are a bit taller then normal lf2 chars, but oh well.
(and sorry for the terrible sprite at the end...)
additional: the face takes several attempts to get right, so keep trying (not even i can get the face right on first go, same with hair)
the key is patience.
