well i like what you done in the sprites with all the light dots and stuff but in game that will all be remaining black stains...

You should edit your post and spoiler it all.

On topic: Really... he doesn't look light. Make his shirt a lighter color than red because red is on the dark side

The red's probably one of the best features atm, if he made it any other colour it'd be like our sprites - The most brightly coloured thing in existance, they'd penalise him xD
