Tournament Rules

Before we start the first fight we should definityl set rules most players fit in - and decide what happens if players break them. I have several versions of rules:

As soon as this is decided we start a thread where you can sign in for the first tournament. Poldy will organise this since he has way more experience there.

I'd like always random, and no reset randoms (due to some people not liking specific characters =x)
i don't mind an enemy dennis using D>J after grab but that's just me.
rudolf and henry are good. They should be used whether u like them or not.
drinking beer's fine, not milk (but u can use milk bottles to throw at people).
no overused cheap moves
no DoP lock.
there's no game bugs, only features.

You're acting like Super Smash Bros tourneyfags.
The weapons are part of the game, and aren't just lying as decoration, and should be used to gain an advantage.
You need to be able to deal with that stuff, and at the point where Louis can even transform into LouisEX he's nearly dead anyways + Louis himself is rather low-tier anyhow! I thought tournaments aren't just about winning under certain situations but instead with all factors of a round of the game involved!
Then again I know that all tourneyfags hate the idea of random elements in their gameplay simply because they think that it adds a certain amount of luck to the game which is what they don't want; they just want skill involved. I understand that point but think that that doesn't fit in with the game itself. If the game has random elements, you should either play it without castrating it or try something else that doesn't pit you in an arena with random objects falling from the sky.

..And yes I know that I don't have any knowledge since I don't frequently play online myself and you will abuse that as much as you can to prove me wrong, however restricting the game to that limit isn't very exciting, and as a matter of fact I do actually have some experience both with the game and the mindsets shown in tourneyfaggotry.

Well, this is just to prevent too many noobies from joining the tournaments who have never used the network-thingy implemented in LF2. If you're already experienced in network/online fighting, I think there won't speak anything against you to join. Am I right, MH (or whoever will be responsible for online fighting)? He also mentioned that newcomers will generally not be accepted, he didn't say that newcomers will never be accepted...

And I want to know what is Passive Playing...

I guess you can define "Passive Playing" as standing on a corner while the others bash their heads into each other. Easy tactic to in against computer players in vs. Let the CPUs kill each other first and kill the remaining. But for online fighting you're supposed to fight against each other mercilessly, from the beginning to the end.
