character slots

i have a smal question, are there a limited number of character slots. cause if i just put a custom character dat,pic,and sound will the character have its own slot

As long as you give the character seperate id: in data.txt, he'll have his slot in character selection menu.

Try it yourself - change john's id to something random and look, if character is in the character selection menu.
