Moderator Text Tag
#1
I accidentally discovered ~ Alectric
that the text formats - Simoneon
that the moderators use ~ blow_fly98
to edit people's posts ~ Phil
can be used by anyone. ~ MH-Razen

Is this a bug? An oversight? I guess non-mods shouldn't use these tags, but I'm just pointing out that it's possible, in case anyone thinks it's a problem.

They were made just for us, thus it can be used just by us.

actually its just a temporary solution for the modnotice problem: some mods (including me T_T) can'r access the modnotice function.

No one is stupid enough to abuse that tag, and if someone comes along who is, just edit that person's post and give 'em a warning.

This isn't a bug and I therefor consider your post to be categorizable as 'spam'.
My projects:
=> Comet - LF2 ver.1.9/1.9c skin.
=> CRE - ComboRegenerativeEnemy.

Contact me if the links to my projects become unavailable.

You can also consider his post to be "into-Website Improvements-moveable".

...

That sounds sexy.
I like to make backflips - Simoneon
Huh? - Simoneon
That sounded even sexier.

@bambegg: actually no.. the tags were always there even when the modnotice still worked for everyone.
They are there for just editing someones post and making clear that not the poster wrote, cause a mod wrote it.
Modnotice is something different, you want to tell the guy something for his post and not improve his post (thats what the tag is for)
@jossua: damn right, capt. obvious. We are doing that.
@threadstarter & lauli: well yes.. might be a little to risky but oh well we need it (especially in this situation)
so if you come up with something better or got an php-solution for making it only useable for mods.. then go ahead and tell us.

That's no bug, and that's not a temporary thing. It works the same way as [b] or [quote], so yeah......................

........................

The tags not THE BIG secret, it's just not not appreciated if you use those. They have been specifically designed for Forum Team members (thus, I cannot and will not fulfill requests) and should not be used by public.

Any questions left? :)

So yea...
You know, the system (?) somehow knows who edits which post.
For instance I post something, and Simon edits it. It says something like "Post edited by Simoneon bla blah".
You could take this information and somehow connect it with the mod-tags. So they only work if a moderator edits the post...

I can't believe I just said that.
