Phil @ Linz's Quarter Marathon!
#1
{Note: As it's a quarter Marathon, only a distance of 10,5 km (=6,5 miles for you mile people) needs to be run.}

This morning, our beloved moderator Phil has participated in this very yearly Austrian marathon! It starts on a highway in the northern Austrian part, runs through Linz (a capital city from one of the northern provinces) right into the city centre onto the main square. 10,5 km of nearly nonstop running!

I thought it was pretty courageous of him to participate (despite his figure and such :p) and it does take guts to run this long (I myself wouldn't be able to manage, I reckon)!

Three cheers for Phil! *cheers*

Anyway, down with the party, here're his results:

2419th place (812th in his age class) from 2980

Runtime (from starting position): 1:13:48 (2583rd place, remember it's a handicap if you're not in front at the start)

Runtime (from starting line): 1:07:02

First 3,2 km: 0:17:26

From 3,2 km to 4,8 km: 0:10:44

From 4,8 km - 10,5 km: 0:38:51

Average km/h: 9.4

Average min/km: 6:23

--- Yaaay! :D

(Remember, it's not about winning, only about testing yourself...)

Awesome!
Maybe my dad saw you (But didn't know who you are)

He didn't run the marathon, but ran from our place to Linz to watch the marathon. So yea.

I really respect people who run on long distances.
Tried it a few times already and I must say that it's not even remotely easy.
