LF2 The awakening - sprites?
#1
Hey guys,

Im new to the forum. Im creating a LF cartoon series like LF alpha. Was wondering if im allowed to use sprites from different LF2 versions as long I credit the version???

Also check out the trailer. More talented voice actors will be used in the actual episodes. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/461613

First of all welcome to the forums. :)

Second. That trailer is awesome! And if you give credit i think there isn't nothing wrong :)

<strike>Third. I think this is in a wrong section :/ </strike>

OUCH... the trailer was quite good in the beginning, but the static background in the voice kills my headset ^^'

However, looks nice and the music is quite good.

@above: It IS the right section... this is definitely a piece of art ^^
My Creations: (Click to View)

Return (String) System.getNewsOfTheDay();
Barely active, expect slow responses. If at all.

^ completely agree. The beginning was really nice and the animation was good as well. Can't listen to the music or the voice because of technical problems.

You're generally allowed to use material from other LF2 versions if you give credits as long as the creator doesn't state the opposite in the readme. However, you should try to contact and ask them if possible.

Trailer was actually really good, i'm suprised as normally I don't find these things that good.

If you need people for voice overs and characters and stuff - I'm more than willing to do any. Hope this goes ahead.

Just name them in credits, or speak to their owners. They'll probably appreciate.
One day, I shall become, TUTORIAL-MAN: Superhero of writing overly long, overly annoying tutorials which most people probably won't read, but will give it a stab at the first 5 lines!

Thanks guys!

Yeah I am new to the whole macromedia flash thing. Though I learned a lot from the production of the trailer. The sound should be better in the episodes.

Yes I do need voice actors. You can find the details for audition on the following two links:

http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/sho...hp?t=53615

http://voiceacting.proboards.com/index.c...read=18267

Contains some sample lines you can record and send to me.
So I will assume I can use the sprites as long as I mention where I got them from. Thanks that expands the fighting moves a great deal. ;)
I got permission from Marti to create it so it should be fine.

So when I post the actual episodes. Is there a place/section I can let you guys know in this forum or is that considered 'advertisement' :s

You sound like "Yimo" from Tales of the Past.
Dunno if you know him.
Aaanyways.

Really nice character animation you have there!
You should also focus a bit on the backgrounds too though, to make them look a bit more... alive?
