transformation into a certain frame of the character
#1
i need help here, im trying to transform my character into another but after the transformation takes place the character is always standing. is there a way to transform the character into lets say frame 60 of the character? so the character transforms into another character delivering a punch

I don't think thats possible (or at least easy makeable)

Instead just try to give this char the sprites (+frames) of the other char and let him transform after the move/punch.

should be possible if you create an object before transforming that catches the char after transforming and leads him to the punching-frame for example. only bad thing might be that you see the transformed char standing for one TU.

@lauli: did you really not think about that?^^

Aactually, I did, but I doubt wingsofthewind would understand that method :P

The one I described would be easier in my opinion anyways...

sorry, don't have the time. have you looked at the homepage?
maybe there is an example.and i think there are only this 2 ways. until you got it, you should use "laulis" way.

@lauli: yeah, but when you don't have any place in your file, "my" way fits better:p

If you were making a mod I could make a new transform state(pretty much like 4xxx) and you stay on the same frame after transforming. So basically lets say you use state 4000 on frame 320, after you transform your character will be in frame 320 so you just do "next: 60" and he punches :D. But since I guess your not making a mod you'll be stuck with the "create object-catch-go to frame" method :p
