The Motivation Thread
#1
I wanted to see what keeps everyone motivated when doing what they want to achieve. As I know this forum needs a little bit of motivation for everyone to keep working on it through their busy lives and also that everyone needs motivation to do stuff in everyday life.

I thought that this would be a decent thread to not only tell others what motivates you but also a decent thread to keep yourself motivated whilst working. Even through the hardest and darkest times people could look at this thread and feel motivated beyond belief. This should spur all of our members on to achieve the best of their goals in life.

Things you're allowed to post:
- Song Lyrics/Poems/Stories/Written Work
- Motivational Quotes (gathered from anywhere, must include who said it or an 'anonymous' after it)
- Videos that motivate you
- Song videos that motivate you
- Art work or peoples work on here

Basically what I'm trying to say is, post whatever it is that motivates you, even if it's an emotion (they'd be good to describe). You can if you want also put what it motivates you in doing. Oh yeah, one last thing - you SHOULD post who wrote the work, whose quote it is, etc.

I'm working out a lot more often nowadays. Trying to bulk up massively and even get into bodybuilding competitions. I'm fairly big and often just need that little extra kick to keep working out and moving towards my goals. So I have a few video's that I'd like you to see that motivate me:

Arnold Schwarzenegger training:

Kai Green and the song 'I Made It' by Kevin Rudolf:

I can only post links as I don't know how to post videos. If anyone could, could they pm me and tell me how to add video's to posts? Thanks.

Eddie

Well, i allways look @ other users sprites and try to visualize how they would do things...
listening to music is a great way for thinking but for me it's not good while working
it makes slow progress as i am easily distracted and think i deserve a break every other brush stroke):P
I don't rly care whut music i listen to as long as im in the mood for it...
also on a side note, sometimes comparing urself to other people to boost ur confidence and motivation helps
i also eat snacks while working (statistics say chewing helps the mind)
...for teh lolz (make funny facial expressions in the mirror to boost ur confidence by +.3)
also try new methods, it doesn't hurt to try and u become proud of whut u have accomplished
admire ur work (meaning stare @ it long and hard as though it were a booby) this will help u notice any flaws...
hope this helped...erm somehow? :D

use the [youtube] tag :P

im getting motivated from alcohol (seriously), or if i reach a state behind tireness (similar to drunk :D )

shouldnt this belong in forum games?

edit: oh, and also there are several songs that motivate me, eg. caramelldanssen - speedycake remix; raindrops keep falling on my head or pretty much any other song that sounds like happiness

Depends, do you consider it a game? If so, then move it to games. :D

oh yeah, try staying up late!
that really helps instead of doing things in the mourning or during the day...
i actually get really good when my brain finally functions during 6-10PM...

@Topic
why not just put usful advice....i don't rly find video's helpful when u need to sprite...
sometimes silence all together helps...IMO

This is pretty motivating. Why? Because the guy ROTOSCOPED all the frames, instead of using a green screen. ROTOSCOPED!!!
The video also gave me alot of ideas. Don't know why.

This also motivates alot. It shows how you're doing it probably very very wrong.
↑ That was a joke, by the way.

Here are three video's which keep me motivated, very motivated. When I'm upset they will always cheer me up:

If that does not make half of you laugh, I do not know what will. xD
