thread moving bug?

Not really a bug; this happens when a moderator thinks that the thread would be more appropriate in a different forum. Upon moving, there will be a notice left and redirecting you to the actual thread.

There is the chance to remove such entries, but you could also delete the respective thread if something goes wrong (without the ability to recover, that is). So yeah, that's why those redirects usually lurk around.
