i was wondering that any of the dancers/data changers could introduce the save/load game feature in lf2 coz this can be very useful for playing survival mode. Many of the players probably cudnt have tried coz they dobt have enough time for that. When i pause the game and hibernate my pc and then open it again the game hangs..Maybe u cud fix that problem so there is no need for the saving the game.

Out of my memory, I believe this was discsussed before, and it came to a conclusion that it is either not possible or that it is possible, but noone had the will/time to do it.

It's not about DCing, it's about using HEX or modifying the source code.
And as I said, I don't remember if it is possible or not. And even if it is possible, I imagine it is very hard to do it.
So don't be too keen on making false judgements.

i could imagine a password system that lets you enter a code on stage 1-1 surv, leading you to the belonging stage. though that would require a heckload of dc and would probably be a waste of time, since the original survival mod isnt really worth playing through (no story, hidden char passwords etc).
the original stage mode however has been modded many times already, including some pretty good story mods. these would be worth playing through.
but in the original stage mode you can select the stage -> no sense in save/load function :P

maaaaybe you can install a virtual machine, pause the game, take a snapshot of the machine, and reload that snapshot each time you want to load the game at that point. course, lf2 has a problem whereby it doesn't refresh the screen anymore if your computer runs some fullscreen app or something (like UAC), so it might not work in that case.
that's one solution that isn't blocked by people's ability to dc/hex/dll inject/rewrite lf2
though it involves effort, but that can't be helped.

Perhaps it is to save a replay to the point where the user saved the game, and when the user loads the save file the game will run the replay (maybe without refreshing the screen), but I don't understand hex things etc.. and from what I have read it's really hard :o
TEMPE
