Hi, its me again. This time, I want to ask how do I change the colour of the char's clothes easily?
I remember the last time I did that using photoshop a few years ago, I was able to use the magic pen tool to highlight and colour the whole page of standing char's sprites's clothes at the same time without spending much time.
But now, I must colour the standing sprites one by one and part by part and that would take really the whole day. Any idea how to tackle the problem?

I usually recolored using PhotoFiltre (or Photoshop), by selecting specific parts of clothes with the magic wand and then use hue/saturation/color to edit it.
I don't really know a faster way.

From my point of view there are these 2 possibilities:
1) With the magic wand, uncheck the option "Contiguous" before you select the color. That way it selects the color on the whole spritesheet. You can then still finetune your selection by holding STRG + Click for subtraction or SHIFT + Click for addition.
2) Go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation..., select your color (either in the dropdown box or the gradient color beams at the bottom) and then change hue/saturation/lightness as you see fit. (Beware that "red" also changes the skin color; finetune the color range with the beams at the bottom of the window.)
There are surely more possibilities than these but these are all I know

i recolor it with photo filtre using 'replace color range'
in some cases (like davis for ex) it easy to recolor his blue jacket cuz the blue stands out and its unique amongst other cloth color. But in other caces (like deep) color range can recolor the arms with the shirt cuz the colors r close and alike, which leads me to use the magic wand tool with whatever tolerance i need.

Be sure that your image is in 24bit-colors. Image > Mode > RGB Color (8bit per channel)
Otherwise, the Hue/Saturation-command is either not available or not working as expected.

If u use gimp u can select the clothing using the free select tool
Then click "colorize" located in Colors...I started playing around with that tool last week
Try it out for those gimp-users
Edit: however, this won't work when you open it up without changing the file to RGB, the spritesheet will be an indexed file, to do this go to Image and click on mode...
There u will see RGB, Grayscale, Indexed
