Change of LFE [mainsite] theme

Its a long time we changes the LFE Mainsite theme. I also wanted a black-theme such as the forums as it looks total classic. Also, black is pleasant for the eyes. So, is there a way so that we can change the Mainsite theme?

additional info: If you admins find it time eating then you may ask me to do it between July cuz I got summer vacations in July XD.

well simple answer: sure a new design would be nice, but the forum and keeping it up to date is a lot of work (we`ve to do a lot more then you guys can see, BP and me...), and so motivation to create a new mainsite theme is low. Especially since it`s a lot more complicated it would need hell lot of time, and you know whats the problem with the time is. So in case we get time / mood, be sure we will do it, but so far, I guess you`ve to wait..

Also, an important thing to add is that theming the mainsite is not the only thing that would be needed. Considering that finding certain items can be pretty hard from time to time, a restructuring-process would be no bad idea as well. You can imagine what this would mean, grabbing each of the 2000ish (correct me if I'm wrong here, MH) articles, perform updates on them, recategorizing, etc, etc, etc.

In short: tons of work, willpower, and patience required for a new update to happen. Pretty sure that the starting date will not be before my semester holidays; a finishing date is absolutely not settable as of now. It could be done by September 2011, it could also be done not before the year 2014. As soon as the mainsite has gone into a half-way acceptable stage to be revealed to public, an announcement will be made. But don't worry, it will definitely not happen too soon xD

I just wanted to say that you need to add contest #14 in mainsite,because the last one there is #13.


Also it looks better with blue.I have seen some black sites and I don't like them.

According to me you should make your theme look cool so you should change it to black. Attachment capacity is only 10mb it should be at least 30 MB.

10 MB limit is there for a reason. If I would enlarge it people would start to post their so called "versions" which is nothing else then a bunch of random heros in a lf2-version in lfe-forums and use the traffic. Actually my webspace-provider gives so-called "unlimited" traffic with fair use, but i once asked about hosting lfo-file (1GB) and then they answered my traffic is extremly high and they recommend a V-Server.

SO conclusion: Increasing filesize means increasing traffic a lot and I wont risk trouble with my webhost for some sh**** versions...

According to me this website is very fine.I would rate it 9 out if 10 this website is not boring in fact it is very intesting.I also say that making unecessary changes will depict its personality and make it look dull.

Teh black theme in the forums look cool so why dont make the mainsite also black? For me, black is pleasant to my eyes a lot[may be to many other's eyes too].

actually it's not necessary to change the theme. The current theme is fine.
We don't need a facebook or youtube where they change everything as soon as people get comfortable with it.
