LF2 : LEGEND OF THE TIME TRAVELERS -RISE OF THE UNDEAD

I was thinking to develop a story for a new mod. So I came up with this thing which might seem intermediate between a plot for a mod and a very detailed, dramatic story.I have just started with 'reading' dc and spriting tutorials and I felt that it will take me a lot of time to reach the level where I will be able to make my own mod.So I am posting it here hoping people will like it and help me in this, and if you really find potential in it and want to be part of project please PM me :-)
Introduction : After Julian was defeated,Xaeroth-greatest of the dark magicians meets him. Xaeroth can travel through time, he joins hands with Julian and they try to change their destinies by going in the past and defeating the heroes before they could unite or even come to know that Julian was going to be their enemy.This story has only three heroes Davis,Deep and Woody . The story shows how the helpless heroes after Julian's attack meet Aon-the good timetraveling Magician,how Aon gives them some upgrades from the future slightly modifying the characters which makes them able to take on Julian's new army which now consists of zombies,dark soccerers, evil mythical creatures.
During the fight they meet Angelon -a new character which is half Angel and Half human, and then they finally defeat Louis-Evilex and Xulian

PROLOGUE
PART 1
OUR LF2 TEAM HAD DEFEATED JULIAN AND LEFT HIM BADLY INJURED FOR DYING ALONE.OWING TO THE INJURIES, HE WAS ALREADY DECLARED DEAD . LYING ON THE FLOOR ,JULIAN COULD HARDLY BREATHE .HE WAS HAVING HIS LAST MOMENTS. HE JUST COULDN'T FACE THE FACT THAT HE HAS BEEN DEFEATED.THE DESIRE TO TAKE REVENGE HAD TAKEN OVER HIS MIND.BUT IT SEEMED NOTHING COULD BE DONE NOW.AS HE COULDN'T EVEN GATHER STRENGTH TO STAND ON HIS FEET AND DEATH SEEMED NO FAR . SUDDENLY THE DAYLIGHT DIMMED, WINDS STARTED TO HOWL AND FROM A SHADOW TWO DARK SPIRITS EMERGED IN FRONT OF HIM ."WHO ARE YOU ?"JULIAN ASKED.ONE OF THE SPIRIT SAID "I AM KRUM AND THIS IS LORD XAEROTH - THE GREATEST OF ALL DARK MAGICIANS.HIS HIGHNESS CAN RAISE THE DEAD ,TRAVEL THROUGH TIME AND SPACE WHENEVER AND WHEREVER HE WANTS "."WHY ARE YOU HERE ? WHAT DO U WANT FROM ME ?"JULIAN ASKED."HIS HIGHNESS HAS BEEN CURSED,HE HAS LOST THE BODY HE WOULD RESIDE IN."KRUM SAID.XAEROTH FINALLY SPOKE"I WAS SEARCHING FOR A POWERFUL BODY WITH A MIND AS EVIL AS MINE, I KNOW ABOUT YOU JULIAN, I KNOW HOW THEY DEFEATED YOU,THE PAIN AND CRAVING FOR REVENGE INSIDE YOU I CAN UNDERSTAND VERY WELL"."ONE CAN ENTER A BODY ONLY IF THE MIND CONTROLLING IT ALLOWS HIM TO DO SO, LETS MAKE A DEAL JULIAN ,SHARE YOUR BODY WITH ME AND GIVE THE BODIES OF YOUR LOYAL SOLDIERS TO MY SLAVE SPIRITS AND TOGETHER WE WILL BRING HELL ON EARTH.WITH MY TIME TRAVELLING ,THE ENEMIES WHICH DEFEATED YOU WILL BE CLEARED FROM OUR PATH BEFORE THEY EVEN COME TO KNOW THAT YOU WERE GOING TO BE THEIR ENEMY". THE CRAVING FOR REVENGE HAD BLINDED JULIAN SO MUCH THAT WITHOUT THINKING OF THE CONSEQUENCES IN A SECOND HE YELLED "YES !! I WILL JOIN HANDS WITH YOU,GET INSIDE ME ,DO IT NOW !!".XAEROTH DIDN'T WAIT FOR A SECOND.KRUM STEPPED BACKWARDS AS XAEROTH STARTED HIS SPELL ,DARK CLOUDS GATHERED ALONG WITH LIGHTNING.JULIAN'S BODY WAS LEVITATING ,XAEROTH CLOSELY REVOLVED AROUND JULIAN AND THEN QUICKLY ENTERED THROUGH HIS HEAD" AND THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION OF DARKNESS ."WE ARE THE UNBEATABLE, WE ARE ONE ,XAEROTH AND JULIAN WE ARE XULIAN"THEY SHOUTED AS ONE. JULIAN FELT MORE POWERFUL THAN EVER. " I LOST THE BATTLE NOT ONLY BECAUSE MY ENEMIES WERE STRONG BUT ALSO BECAUSE MY LOYAL MEN WERE CORRUPTED BY MY ENEMIES, BAT AND THE COMMANDER OF MY ARMY LOUIS WHO WAS THE MOST POWERFUL OF THEM BETRAYED ME ".JULIAN SAID."DO NOT BOTHER ABOUT THEM ,MY SLAVE SPIRITS WHO WILL BE RESIDING IN THEM ARE CONTROLLED BY MY MIND ,THEY CAN'T GO AGAINST MY WILL ,AND LOUIS EH.. HIS BODY SHALL BELONG TO KRUM ,SINCE HE IS THE MOST LOYAL AND POWERFUL AMONG MY SERVANTS"XAEROTH SAID."KRUM IS GRATEFUL TO LORD XULIAN"KRUM SAID."NO TIME TO WASTE !! LETS GO BACK TO THE PAST TO WRITE OUR DARK GLORIOUS FUTURE"XULIAN SAID.WITH XULIAN'S SPELL EVERYBODY DISSAPEARS FROM THE SCENARIO

PART 2
IN AN ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THEIR DESTINIES XULIAN AND KRUM WENT BACK TO THE PAST.NOW JULIAN'S ARMY WAS WHOLLY CONVERTED INTO LIFELESS AND EMOTIONLESS BLOODTHIRSTY BEASTS,ZOMBIES ,DARK SOCCERERS AND AND ALL THE EVIL CREATURES THE WORLD FEARED. THEY DID NOT HAVE EVEN THE WILL OF THEIR OWN ,EXCEPT THE JUSTINS WHO WERE THE SAME AS BEFORE.JUSTINS HAD TO CAPTURE VILLAGERS AND KEEP IN THE CASTLE AS FOOD FOR THE ARMY.MANY TIMES XULIAN WOULD FREE SOME OF THEM SO THAT THE WORLD WOULD COME TO KNOW ABOUT HOW POWERFUL AND EVIL XULIAN WAS THROUGH THEIR DESCRIPTIONS. ONE DAY XAEROTH SPOKE TO JULIAN "TIME HAS COME JULIAN, LET'S TAKE THE REVENGE YOU SEEK, WHO WERE YOUR ENEMIES ?".SUDDENLY A JUSTIN CAME RUNNING ,CATCHING HIS BREATH HE SAID"LORD XULIAN ,IF I HAVE NOT INTERRUPTED YOU ,I HAVE VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOU"."WHAT IS IT,TELL ME "XULIAN SAID."AMONG THE VILLAGERS WE CAPTURED,WE FOUND A MONK WHOSE PREDICTIONS ARE ALWAYS TRUE,THE THINGS HE PREDICTED ABOUT ME AND MY COLLEAGUES CAME TRUE. HE EVEN PREDICTED THAT YOU WILL BE INTRESTED IN WHAT HE WANTS TO SAY,HE HINTED IT'S ABOUT THREATS TO OUR KINGDOM". JULIAN FUMED WITH ANGER AND SAID"THEN HE WAS WRONG ! WHY WOULD WE NEED PREDICTIONS WHEN WE CAN ACTUALLY GO TO THE FITURE ?".XAEROTH INTERRUPTED JULIAN AND THEN ASSERTED "NO ,WE WILL GIVE HIM A CHANCE".JULIAN WONDERED WHY WOULD XAEROTH WANT THE MONK'S PREDICTIONS BUT REMAINED SILENT.CONFUSED JUSTIN FINALLY BROUGHT THE MONK INSIDE AND WENT OUTSIDE. THE MONK WAS WEARING WHITE CLOTHES WHICH PERHAPS WERE A CONTRAST TO THE DARKNESS WHICH WAS EMBODIED IN THE CASTLE."SAY WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY"XULIAN SAID IN HIS LOUD VOICE. THE MONK HAD A CALM MIND WITH A SMILE HE SAID "THE ONE WHO FEARS FUTURE BECAUSE IT IS BRIGHT,WILL BE DEFEATED BY THREE BRAVE SOULS BUT FIVE BODIES AND AN ANGEL WHOSE REASON OF EXISTENCE ON EARTH IS TO BALANCE THE DARKNESS BY LIGHT". EVERYONE WAS SILENT ,XAEROTH WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED.HE REMEMBERED HIS ATTEMPTS TO GO INTO THE FUTURE,THOUGH HE ALWAYS SUCCEDED , HE WOULD GET DISTURBED BY THE FACT THAT THE GOOD ALWAYS WON OVER THE BAD,NO MATTER HOW DARKER THE PRESENT WOULD BE ,THE FUTURE ALWAYS REMAINED BRIGHT.
BRINGING BACK HIS ATTENTION ON THE PRESENT SITUATION, XAEROTH SAID"FOUR, JUST FOUR OF THEM? HAHA. LET ME SEE WHO THEY ARE ".XULIAN CASTS A SPELL AND THREE LARGE IMAGES OF DAVIS, WOODY AND DEEP APPEAR FLOATING IN FRONT OF HIM.JULIAN REMEMBERED THEM VERY WELL,XAEROTH COULD FEEL IT AS THERE WAS AN ABRUPT INCREASE IN THE BEATING OF JULIAN'S HEART.
"AND WHAT ABOUT THE FOURTH ONE? "JULIAN QUESTIONED. "SOME POWERS ARE BLOCKING ME ,DON'T WORRY ABOUT HIM, ALONE HE WOULD BE NO THREAT TO US".WATCHING XULIAN, THE MONK SMILED AGAIN.
" SEND THIS MONK INTO THE PRISON ".XULIAN ORDERED THE GUARDS."AND CALL KRUM,TELL HIM I HAVE SOMETHING INTRESTING FOR HIM".XULIAN ADDED WITH AN EVIL GRIN ON HIS FACE.

Hmm, story definately needs tweaking.
Maybe should start with using the spacebar where needed. Then maybe adding paragraphs and taking off capslock. None of those three mistakes can help.

Nor can the fact you contradict yourself, if your characters are corrupted by the enemy, they don't have to let a spirit into them, as you stated earlier. Meaning Louis, at any point in time will just say 'no' and completely ruin everything.

Also, how on earth would you impliment his time abilities into the game? You seem to have given no help, except you've just said - I'm making a mod with a story, here's a few blocks of capslock, have fun if you wanna join.

WRITE THE STORY PROPERLY - write the pieces properly, giving the sections a title. Infact, organise it into scenes even where the screen comes up with a load of text of the story between levels. Sentence 1 from the story already has a mistake. When you can be bothered to check your writing, please post it up then. Rush jobs just look nasty and do not promote the idea of getting help from people.

Of all the heroes to pick, why DEEP instead of Dennis? Davis, Dennis and Woody have always been considered a trio. Not trying to knock the idea, but I don't know how you would put any of Deeps hinted at personality in with either of those.


Not trying to completely whack down the idea, but I don't think any thought process has gone into this, plus - I can tear apart the story into many pieces very quickly. All julian has to do is stop them being born, if Xaeroth is an all powerful time travelling magician, all he needs to do is kill off their parents. Done. They could go back in time admittedly to try and stop that, but highly doubt it'll work. Plus, all Julian has to do after is say ' I don't want you in my body' and done. The guy would be out.


I'm going to be honest, this needs a lot of work. You've given next to no information, nor have you given any hints or idea's on gameplay. Just the fact that there are time travelling magicians. Sorry.

I was too impatient to format or organise it but from now onwards I will do better.
About Louis says No,Julian says No to Xaeroth and the Time implementation part you are talking about, the further part of the story will answer you.Hint :Xaeroth talked about 'entering' only.
Honestly I didn't think about the kill the parents idea but now it can be taken as they were so powerful that they killed them in their youth only.
And Deep was my personal choice and I really like the upgrade he gets later.
Also note Gameplay has not even started yet.

Let me verify if this is going to end as a "No work all, bark" thing. Have you ever modded lf2? Do you know how to sprite or dc if so what's your level? We all got our own ideas. That's the easy part. Getting it done is the hard part. If you don't know how to mod lf2 it would take an insanely awesome story or ultra generous guys to do it for you. I doubt the first.

-Your skill
-Team requirements
-Accepting and organizing the team
-Doing the mod
And the most importantly No stopping till you complete the mod.
If you think you can meet these i think there'll be guys who would join. So happy modding.

I can assure you that the story and the gameplay will be in a detailed manner.
(I repeat 'the gameplay has not even started yet')
And I am simultaneously working on my skills they will be better till I post the whole story (If I like something I honestly work hard on it).
And I think for all the remainig stuff you mentioned, they will depend on how I will do with these three things.
So I will try my best , even if it ends up as 'all bark ' thing I will atleast be satisfied by the fact that I tried.And btw I am posting my ideas here only because I want to remove the flaws from it which one can find

Really good idea.it reminds me Shrek4.In fact I have thought to create a MOD with devils/evils/dark characters/zombies.But with a different story from that: Julian empire captured Henry,Davis,Deep... and make dark clones from them who are stronger than original ones.

LEGEND OF DEEP
Deep was at Tim's place,Tim was a blacksmith by profession.Tim and Deep were good friends since childhood.Tim used to dream of working for the Royal Army, but he never got an opportunity to do so.But he was really proud, since he was the only person in the kingdom who worked for Deep and had made his sword.Deep was the bravest of all warriors in the kingdom,selfless,most respected and feared.The King had many times personally kept proposal for Deep to join the Royal forces, but Deep liked the freedom to fight at one's own will,and not for people who may want him to kill others for their selfish gains or just for the sake of increasing their territory,and thus 'glory'. But when the kingdom faced big threats the king knew whom to approach,since Deep would never refuse to help his people even at the cost of his life. Tim was sharpening Deep's sword,"So are you coming tommorow ? I want you to meet my new friend, from the neighbouring ally kingdom. The way you are with swords,he is with bows and arrows.
He came to me looking for arrows, I made a few for him, he really liked my work.Now he comes more often in our town just for my arrows.The quantity of arrows he needs makes me feel he must be very much into fights.Very punctual,honest and determinant, they call him Henry.I bet you will like him".
Deep never liked archers,all the archers he had seen were cowards. Many would ambush innocent travellers at night time and loot their belongings.Even the archers in Royal army had no sense of team spirit with their infantry counterparts.Many times infantry warriors would die acting as a bait so that archers could attack the enemy.They were the first ones to leave the battle fields when they sensed danger,while the infantry on the front had to die.But Deep knew about Tim's skill in judgement about people very well. Moreover he would listen to Tim anyways.
"Then I will be coming tommorrow at your place"checking the sharpness of his sword Deep replied."See you tommorrow, bye"Tim said.
But as soon as Deep left Tim's home,a man came running towards him.
"He killed the King ! He has taken over the throne ! Deep,we need your help ! He is an evil ruler, save us from him,you are our only hope !".the man exclaimed.Deep couldn't understand this,their kingdom was surrounded by allies from all sides, it was impossible to take an army and defeat the king in so less time without getting detected.
The kingdoms near the Lion forests had a rule which had to be followed by one and all.'If a person defeats a king, he becomes the new monarch and the army and the whole kingdom are ought to obey his commands until and unless he is defeated by somebody else'.Thus Deep now had to fight against the same army he had helped a lot of times.Now Deep ran towards the castle.

GAMEPLAY
STAGE 1-1
The game starts with Deep as playing character with a much higher mana regeneration rate.The background is Lion forest.The first stage offers nothing new,it is more like a mere break from the story and a small test of player's skill.Deep has to fight some bandits,more of hunters and a few sorcerers.Enemies spawn one by one in quick succession from both sides.The game should not give time to the player.The player must play aggressively by reaching the enemies and killing them as fast as possible if he/she wants to avoid fighting a large crowd of enemies later which will have mostly hunters.Throughout stage 1-1 only two things must drop from the sky. A crate (at the middle of the stage) and a milk bottle (at the start of last quarter of stage).There will be no need for beer bottles because of the high mana regen.Total Enemy count can be between 20 to 30.


STAGE 1-2
Reaching stage 1-2 implies you have reached the castle.The background should be something which has got stone roads,stone walls (typical grey stones of castles)and things that hint about high altitude. Deep must retain the mana regen rate.
The enimies faced will be hunters,sorcerers and a few Knights.Their combinations will spawn as groups of fours or fives.(two or three enemies from each side).If an enemy group is killed then new will spawn.The game will have some annoying things like milk bottles and knives dropped from the sky more closer to enemie's reach than yours and spawning of hunters from behind when you are dealing with knights.Two boulders must fall from the sky (one each at the beginings of second and fourth quarters of the stage).Total number of enemies can be between 25 to 30.
( Both stages should give a medieval feel to the game bandit and hunter's goggles should be removed if possible).
Stage 1-2 is cleared and further part of story continues.

STORY
DEEP WOUNDS AND DESPAIR

Deep had defeated the guards.He entered the king's hall.In his mind he thought that the king should have been attacked by stealth, since the number of guards was as usual. He had found no signs of a war between two armies on the way. Suddenly he smelled something very foul,the odour was coming from the left.He turned left and the sight was even more disturbing than the odour.He saw the corpses of the king and his private guards whom he knew very well, lying on the floor.They looked as if some creature has eaten them partly.Flies were lingering near the corpses. A tall muscular man with a weapon in his hand appeard,his eyes were deep red and were glowing."So Deep, we have finally met"the man said."I knew that you would come,and why not? So brave, and selfless, 'People's Messiah' had to come to save his people"he added.
The person standing in front of Deep was none other than Louis, inside whom there was Krum's spirit.Together they were called as Louis-Evilex.Louis himself was a very strong warrior before,but on merging with Krum he had become the strongest warrior of all realms.With Krum's magical powers, he could now control Krum's minions who were immortal.They can be destroyed only if Louis-Evilex was killed.In all the battles he fought, none could even survive his minion's attack so none was even able to attack him.Thus Louis-Evilex seemed invincible.
"I don't know who you are, but I challange you for a fight,as per the laws whoever wins will take over the reins of the kingdom".Deep said in his firm voice.
"You don't know Deep,my purpose of coming here was to meet you only,now that you have come here,the legend of Deep shall end now"said Louis-Evilex.
And suddenly twelve minions arose from the ground and they start attacking Deep.Deep got alerted, he raised his sword and started fighting.The minions had outnumbered Deep, Deep would injure them with his sword making them fall on the ground but their wounds would heal in no time and they would stand again.As soon as Deep realized this, he ran towards Louis-Evilex dodging the minions and attacked him. The moment his sword had just reached Louis-Evilex he was pushed away by his pheonix palm attack. Louis-Evilex's shirt got a cut mark due to this.
"How dare you attack me! don't you fear death ? "Louis-Evilex said."It's my purpose for which I live,it makes me transcend all my fears.I will either kill you or I will die trying it.You will not understand this,you even don't know what are you living for,you are blinded by your power,you can't even see that whatever you do, whatever you want to achieve all is meaningless"Deep said while standing on his feet again.
What Deep said, initiated a thought process in Louis's mind.Krum was fuming with anger, so he couldn't notice it.Louis-Evilex used the pheonix palm again twice on Deep.Deep lost his conciousness.The minions held him by his hands.
"Let's kill him now! Lord Xulian will be so pleased"Krum said."Wait! Don't you remember what Lord Xaeroth said? We should not kill all of them or destiny will be rewritten".Krum remembered it,he said"Then cut the hand he uses for fighting with his sword".Louis agreed with Krum.
So the hand Deep used for fighting was cut from the elbow by the minions."We have defeated the bravest of all warriors,with his hand cut he is no threat to Lord Xulian now.His story shall haunt all four kingdoms of the Lion forest"Louis-Evilex said in a loud voice.
"We did let him live,but the remaining two will have to die"Krum said.
Louis-Evilex and his minions disappeared from the scenario.
