Computer keyboard lag?
#1
Ok so i don't know if you guys have experienced this before, but you know how when you press down a whole bunch of keys on the keyboard down at the same time, your computer might 'beep' and some of the keys will not register? :( if you are playing lf2, and there are many players playing at once, many times your characters are hard to control and such. :(

So i just want to know, is there any way to make this problem disappear? or at least make it better?

is it the system that is causing problems, or something i need to chance in lf2?

should i buy more RAM? Buy a better keyboard? CPU? Graphics card?

What can i do to make this problem better?

or is it dependable on the brand of the computer? my old laptop got stolen, so when i get this new one, i want it to be the perfect kind for lf2. :)

Pls be detailed, not like "get a better computer". What specifications on the computer exactly?

Thanks. :D

It's your keyboard(and mine, and most keyboards)'s problem.
As long as I know, this cannot be fixed (at least not without any advanced knowledge...)

It's not LF2's problem. Most keyboards can only support up to three keys pressed at once (in some cases, four, depending on which buttons you press). When you hear that beep sound that means you're reaching that limit. This problem does not occur in laptops though :D .

Conclusion: Perhaps some keyboards can fix this error. I just don't know which, okay ? :P . I know this is a big problem when you're playing with other players on the same computer. I experiences the same. So the only way I know until now is to limit every player only to two buttons pressed at once.

Dude! You play LF2 and press the key very hard on laptop?!MadThat will destroyer the keyboard. If you want to play it on a laptop, use a joystick, game-controller, another keyboard that's connected.
Firstly,
I not sure what's the key your movements are. If it's shift, it will become a sticky key.
Secondly,
If your keyboard is bad, buy a new one if you wish. But everytime I play, it works fine.
The main problem MAYBE is that:
You're too angry because:
The move won't work, but you're pressing the wrong button.
You press too hard.
Sometimes you didn't look at the mana.
The moves always include "D", so make sure you're not going to attack when you're defending, that won't work.(Except davis's dragon punch, deep's strike or woody's flip kick)

Edit:
@Kevin,
Dude, I play hero fighter with two of my friends on one keyboard, but it works fine. If you're having problem about pressing, press F1 or tell your friend to quickly do something to help you.

maybe it is because you got a good keyboard?

I got the keyboard when I bought my PC, as for laptop, I use a game-controller.
The keyboard I use is a normal one, a bit familiar like this:
Maybe you're aren't a good fighter?:P

Okay, see if this works. I did this for mine a couple years back. It wouldn't let me press more than 3 keys simultaneously and would make a loud "beep" like you said.

Go to your Control Panel, open Accessibility Options, then make sure StickyKeys, FilterKeys, and ToggleKeys are unchecked.

And that should do it. :D

It's not about Sticky Keys. You know, when you play games like Dance Battle or O2Jam or other rhythm game, where you follow the music.
It sometimes requires you to press five keys at once, for example. My keyboard and most keyboards cannot do it. Only the first three keys pressed will respond. Means in game like that I must press the five keys one after another instead of pressing them all at once (which also means much harder, and I can't get all perfects)

And @Hero Destroyer: Maan it's not like that :P . There's no problem when we play alone, one player on one computer. But when you play with your friends in the same computer?? Perhaps you press two buttons simultaneously, like when you want to run upwards, you press right and up, and then you need to press right again later. If three players all presses two keys, total is six, and the keyboard can't respond to all of the keys!

Well, you try this trick to check it up: You shoot a ball, then you hold four keys pressed down. Your opponent (if playing on the same keyboard) won't be able to avoid/defend/rebound your ball, none of his keys will work! XD . Of course there will be that beep sound and he will soon find out that you're cheating this way, so this isn't a good idea, lol.

Well it sucks to play at the same computer, only because of this t.t .

Nope...

@hero

well, i can't even put forward + up + jump (or jump while going diagonally in a direction)

that's really annoying..

and it's hard to throw someone diagonally forward because that'll need three buttons as well. It's still doable though by pressing the up key lately.

I figured out though, that the numpad is a better place to set your keys because it can respond to four keys in many cases (for example 1,2,3, and 5, there's no problem pressing them all. even that the beep sound comes, your keyboard will still respond to all keys)

I remember when people played mario kart on some sort of emulator, one would always press as many keys as possible when the other one was right at the start of a curve... :P

According to google there are keyboards with up to 6 or 7 key presses at one time, though certain combinations will not work.
If this site is right:
http://www.techjail.net/how-to-play-game...limit.html
then you can attach multiple keyboards to one computer to bypass the limit. I never tried that myself and don't have a second keyboard at hand so I can't confirm it, though.
