I try to do my first character,but I have some problems with the transparency...



How can I change the transparency from black to a other colour (green) ?

(Yes,I know...I found the sprites somwhere...xD)

I doubt it's possible to change the transparency colour. Means that you have to use 100% black

the char itself doesnt look bad, but the lighteffects and some other important things are missing!


now to your question:

I guess you made the chars clothing black. totaly black, means: transparent. use a brighter black like #020202
and then chage the spritesheet-bgcolor to absolute black.

LFE doesn't have very good spriting tutorials. You can only do really good spriting if you practice it alot. Tutorials can help by several effects, spriting itself can't be explained really easy.

I changed the colour,but now it isn´t transparent <.<

Which program should I use to make my own Character ?

The programms that I am use is Photofiltre and Paint thats actually enough.

Well of course, not to mention programming itself :P

All you need is a brain, a graphic programme and the Data Changer. Look up at LFE it even has it's own section.

And for the transparency thingy:
You have to make sure that it really is 100% BLACK, only that colour won't be shown. So chances are pretty high you didn't use black, instead some very dark grey.

erm, in paint go to save as and make sure it's saves 24bit-bitmap, then use the "find-colour tool" (where you click in an area and then can use the colour of this area and look if it's really black... if not you know what to do...
