Game crash on launch - help!

Maybe this was already solved i dunno, I haven't found it so here is my post.


usually error appear while loading one of heros.

I'm using windows xp, and this game worked well b4...
I've installed lf2 dbz 3.0 again and it worked, after another reinstal it started to crash.

I've uninstalled game and installed again, but problem was still same/
Game was not modified and I haven't added new heros or anything

Does any know how to fix this?

Can you tell us more about the crash? Any error messages, or does the generic "Blabla has encountered an error and needs to close" appear?

Try installing it onto an existing lf2 version. For ex: install in onto lf2 v2.0.

It's because some modifications needs some basic stuff.

I've install lf2 v.2.0 than Dbz mod v3.0 and copied all data from dbz to lf2 folder, over rided existing ones and it worked.

DAMN...

after reboot, crash appear again...

it stuck durning loading screen on game launch.
and it doesn't work even after uninstall/reboot/intall

Maybe there are virusses in your pc o.O?

It seems like the only possible reason for me to consider a crash-game-on-reboot

find an antivirus?
format and reinstall xp - 7 or 8 wtf?
buy a new pc?;D

It's not virus, I use newset eset32 5 smart internet secu.

And this game worked like 1 month ago than after next game launch it started to crash.
Tryed reinstall, reboot way... not worked.

Now I tryed to do it like xmfcx said, it worked, but when i tryed to play this game next day, same problem appeared, tryed to do solve it like previously, but still nothing helps.

It crash after i klcik start game (load heros and spell) and cast most often at Goku.

Sometimes, upon loading, LF2 hangs up randomly on certain objects. I remember, on my school-computers, we had to edit a mod because these computers hung up upon a certain character. We could only solve it by commenting out the character in data.txt (as in: slap a "#" in front of the line that makes the game crash). Hope that that's the case. The more evil one is that the game crashes on the n-th entry in data.txt. I don't actually know how to solve that one...

So anyways, sometimes, computers fail at loading large spritesheets, so that might be the case. I don't actually have custom chars memorized, but during my dangerous adventures through the world of DCing, I have often encountered that issue.

Just installed it to test new idea, but after hang on name it just pased and worked...
prolyl tomorow it wont work and I will try this '#' trick, but for now I can only thanks for sugestion.

Only problem is that heros with "#" not work in game anymore
