irc online list

can we have a who's online list for the irc channel inside the forum (index/portal/every page - or maybe even built into the normal who's online page)?

i've read that it could be simply done by having a bot inside the channel writing the list somewhere the forum can fetch it from

if there is no premade package with this function maybe this could help

Sounds like a pretty neat idea. Alas, I am currently in a little lack of time to work on something like that, so I hope you won't rip off my head in case I "just" put it onto my personal todo-list...
