Ok, similar to the sprite game, but instead, it's just a few layers made step by step into a cool BG.
I don't get it when you're just making a standing sprite, what's the use? This time, let’s make some layers, if it’s good, I’ll code it into a BG. How’s that sound? Right, we aren’t going to make a whole layer all by ourselves because that would kill the spriter and if 2 members ninja’d, the BG won’t be unified.
If a layer is done, we can add another one, of course, you must tell others that where the new part should be?
For example: If I’ve done making a fence, I add a new layer and I tell that this should be the floor where fighters can run and fight. Later, this layer is done, somebody add a new one and tell that this layer should be behind the fence(back layer).
Ok, for rules:
-Respect other members which means no changing other members’sprites.
-If you want to add something animated, of course, post the spritesheet of that animation (example the clock, if you want to put that animated, just make a spritesheet of the clock), I can code them in as well.
-Don’t add effects first! It can be added when the whole BG is done.
-Don’t put too much layers (of course, if it’s not animated), so let’s just say about 3-4 layers should be enough: The BG back layer, something in front of it, 1-2 layers of floor(s).
-You may fix other sprites (add shading, better proportions...) if it's really bad.
-Right now, just do it as PNG because I know a site that convert PNG to BMP without changing quality.
-Do it from back layers to front.
If you really don't know how to save same formats:
-Point to the picture, right click and select "save image as" or something similar.

This place motivates me to become an artist, this place motivates me to learn coding, this place made me grow up, showed me the ways to interact with people. Unlike the old childish of me myself, I've learned a lot and gotten some experiences. For me, it's not just a fan forum, it's a helpful community. From a noob to someone who would think before he speaks, looking back at my old post made me laugh hard, I'm grateful of the differences between these 2 years.
