The most moving anime.

As says name of topic: could you propose me some interesting and moving anime. just please, don't write here about something like "naruto", i don't wanna another stupid, 600-episode, cartoon where one fight takes 15 episodes. i wanna watch some short (20-30 episodes), solid story. something that causes, i'll be long thinking about this what i just saw. yeah, contents is the most important, but if this possible, i'd like also see something beautiful in technical side. some climatic locations and well drawn characters (because i'd like also learn something about manga drawing).
so if you know something what fits to that description, share with me

btw. so far i watched only "Elfen Lied" (but not to the end :P)

genre is also importent, i cant recommend an yaoi (oh god no!) if you dont like it.

Burst Angel - action pure
Deathnote - detective with well drawn chars
Legend of legendary Heroes - stupid name but quite funny

take a look at 'golden boy' ...it's funny and smart but only lasts for 6 episodes which are loosely connected to each other

thanks guys. hey JustMe, you mean "that's nothing" by this that is poor anime? i watched also other, but this was the most "mature".
about genre: i'd like to see some drama, or maybe even love story :P i think this is the most emotive genres.

If u want something short then go with Full Metal alchemist. I never watched that, but i had a friend who has been bugging me about watching it. As what i heard from the story then the anime should be nice. I think its only about 70 episodes.

If you want you can watch FULL METAL ALCHEMIST but the story gets complicated and not really moving especially in FULL METAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD
what i suggest you watch is RUROUNI KENSHIN (Samurai X)
It is about a samurai who fought during the meiji revolution and vows not to kill
watch from the OVA Trust and Betrayal and then move on through the seasons

yup RUROUNI KENSHIN is exactly that plus blood, however blood ceases after the OVA and then through the seasons it slowly grows darker.. and the blood returns with epic katana fighting scenes
