LF2 SurGen is a program that can generate survival stage codes! Inspired by LF2 Stage Quickmaker/Auto Compose which Kevin used to post here a long time ago, also the more recent LF2 Surge. (I make no claims of making an original idea OR an original name)
As you can probably guess from seeing the screenshot above, you set a bunch of settings then click the Generate button, then the program will generate the code which then you only need to copy-paste to your stage.dat.

You will most likely need to put this file in the same folder as the exe to prevent an error (Download)
If you want to use this for the first time you probably would want to ignore the Army Settings first. You can still generate stages even if you completely ignore them, those settings can be used for more customization, so let's start with the others first.
Starting Difficulty and Difficulty Inflation are the most important: You must fill in these two. Starting Difficulty is obviously the starting difficulty. A bandit's worth 100 difficulty so if you put in 1000 starting difficulty it would start about as hard as fighting 10 bandits. Difficulty inflation is how hard it gets from phase to phase. If you set it to 100 for example it'll get harder by a bandit every phase. With the difficulty inflation, the survival stage gets harder and harder - which it needs.
Reserve Power - I copied this idea right off from Kevin's LF2 Surge. More Reserve Power means the enemies will have more <times> or reserves, you might want to try generating stages with different Reserve Powers and see how much <times> it gives to characters in the Code Box. (Bandits have more reserves than Knights)
Next there's an option to generate a rest phase. In a rest phase there will be milk with 1 ratio and 50 times so the players can recover their HP, and a Bandit. After clicking the box you can fill in the textbox to set how frequent the rest phases are. There's even an option to generate an extra milk for the enemy Bandit to drink so he will not bother the player too much.
Next you can choose the music for the whole survival stage... that is self-explanatory enough, though. The 'enemies from back' scroll bar too.
Then there's the more advanced, complicated but useful Army Settings. Okay, maybe not that complicated. The idea is that you can include more than one wave (army) type. For example one wave type have well balanced enemies and in the other the enemies focus on Hunters.
So first there's that scrollbar on how many armies/wave types you want there to be, then you can select an army with the scrollbar below it. Then you can proceed to set the priorities of each character. Higher priority means more of them will come, for example if you set Bandit's priority into 30000 you'll see a lot of Bandits. Setting priority to 0 also means disabling those characters from the army/wave type.
There are also those three buttons to the right of the bottom of the code box which can be used to perform some tasks instantly.
You can also add 'additions' to the army. If you add Julian there for example, every time that type of army comes Julian will be with them. This can be useful for example if you disable all bosses and add a boss as the addition, and set the Army Theme into the boss theme and then you can get boss fights.
And last but actually not least, you can set how you want the armies/wave types to come, randomly or in patterns.
If you select 'Patterned Army' the 1st army will come first, then the 2nd. The 1st army will come twice if you set the Army Priority to 2, etc. If you select Random Army higher priority increases the chance for that army to come.
NOTE: For some reason including Templates in armies cause the program to crash.
Less important note: The survival stages generated with SurGen doesn't use ratios in the enemies, so the stage is the same whether you play it alone or with others.
You can also see how much difficulty each character is worth in the Help part.
