Classic Mafia - Conclusion!

Are we going to get another RaMafia? I understand a lot of you did not like things of the previous RaMafia round, but perhaps things can be tuned down more this time.

I have a setup which will be more a lean on the classical Mafia but still be unique in a way. If people are interested enough I'll open up a thread. It's also going to have a more medieval-fantasy setting. Werewolves and stuff.

Do it! Do it! Well I couldn't enjoy this game due to early death so I am up for any upcoming games. Count me in, by default!

One more thing: Many people keep saying I am a very experienced player or am one of the most experienced. While it may be true I've been playing in forum Mafia Games now and then for about 9 years now, that does not mean I'm a good or consistent player. I just have some specific hunches and may see recurring patterns more easily. (Like Bamboori overreacting when being accused.) One kind of develops some sort of intuition for this game, which by no means is failsafe.

I did not want to join this round, because I'm tired of classic Mafia. Nave kept bugging me until I thought I'd simply be a meatshield.

Understandable since you knew he was innocent. If you hadn't known, he just looked way too suspicious with all the contradictions he's been involved in. A clear kill for the unknowing townsfolk.

Also why did I have a rose throughout the game?

I thought it was a rose, so I made you the stereotypical gentleman with the rose! Turns out its a laser gun and the avatar was a gif of a sprite of your game.

As spoken on irc, I would like to look at the setup. I've taken quite an interest in understanding the design of mafia games.

But yes, it was a pretty interesting round! The pixel art was funny because it was clear the writing was being accustomed for the images than vice versa. The holy flames of the flame thrower! Interesting XD

Yup, I wrote the text before I made the images.

That reminds me, I actually made one continuity mistake early on - I said Bamboori was a woodsman who voted off Amadis, but later called Bamboori the chef. When I realized this I retroactively changed "woodsman" to "chef".

You're welcome, I thought it'd be a waste to let the vision I had and art I prepared go to waste! I was quite sure Mafia would win, but I was proven wrong.

Yup, you got the Godfather role by chance. Even if you weren't mafia, I would've taken advantage of that sprite and used that same quote, and then follow it up with the lesson of "not judging people by their appearances"

i so often found myself indulging in evil laughter (irl, no kidding) when suspicions lead astray from me even though i thought i was as good as lynched. the best thing i think was that i was easily able to take nave down with me because of his false trust
and i noticed that changing your strategy in the game for whatever reason is bound to be suspicious. so next round ill try to be active from the start

Because I was a certified citizen by the cop. And a citizen that doesn't create confusion is a target less to be lynched, and a more secure aim at night. So, after Apoc's comment about how Rhino should be protected by the doc, I laid out my bait, too, and gambled that the mafia would think Rhino would be protected that night, but alas...

I know that you were in pressure while in the final decision but it was easy to release that jeremies is mafia. behind ramond,nave (and my words to follow nave's words) here is the post that makes jeremies totally mafia:

i knew that it was between 45% nave and 55% jeremies, but i would go with nave first just coz he were more active and more dangerous sorry nave


but very good round in general. it was hard to determine mafias. during the end of the game bambori and jeremies names was in the top list of votes. i voted bambori just for "testing" players as i explained earlier (coz i would go for jeremies by following nave's logic). then i didnt vote coz i were between bambori and jeremies and my vote didnt mattered that much.

Depends. When should he have done so in your opinion? I had some plans laid out for the Doc-Townie-GF situation.

Meh, that would be a surefire way to get Darl against me, and so i'd have had to convince ramond, which wouldn't have been easy, considering everything he already had against me
