I'm quite sure this will be the main problem during creation. I remember SWU Project, a clan I once joined. Our project ended... in a small mod with overpowered chars

And if the LF2 mod needs a name, it'd better be something like... LC2 (Little Creators 2), kinda a way to mention that the mod is about some of the modders etc of LF2.

Well, we dont really need a name now do we?

Pretty much I'd describe this "community" as a bunch of individuals who barely know each other, there are some "clusters" of people that are a bit more familiar with each other but that's it. I don't know how it is in the officials or at G4F (since I'm not registered there and refuse to register at any of these places)...
I'm a great supporter of that idea, but I think we are not ready yet to start a collaboration of that size. Collaborations of 2 people, like YinYin and Silva demonstrate, are possible, but here we're talking about at least 10 to 20 people who are supposed to work together. And I know the drill: "Did you get [insert item here] done?"
"Nah, sorry, I had too much work to do for school..."
These are standard excuses, it barely works if there are 2 or 3 people involved, but I don't want to imagine the case with ten times as many people.

In short, the idea is good, but the time is not there yet.

For both, basically all of the efforts NEVER worked. It is very hard to actually make a mod that composes of effort by various modders and people, especially if they are amongst a common group.G4F's dead. We're one of the only few left.

We just need more time to bond. How about we get everyone on MSN and chat more in future hmm?

the tournaments would be a starter for people to get to know each other (first as an opponent, then as a rival, then as a friend) {sounds cheesy yea but oh well}. mentioned earlier, it's the time factor thingy + motivation that will be the huge problem. The only members who would actually have proper free time for this will be the younger members I suppose (i just noticed this when this year started. official forum mod last year I still could do 1 sprite a day, including read posts in 3 forums and stuff). This year I barely have time to read posts in 2 forums, and I dont' have anymore time for anything else. Today's an exception coz we just had a few exams, and aren't doing much work again yet (though I actually haven't finished homework from 2 weeks ago). The remake project also is another thingy on my to-do list as a spare time thing.

better not go way off topic (maybe it's too late). anyways, I would support the idea, but not just yet.

Hey guys.
I did catch some stuff about LF2.net's Official Forum Mod and it looked pretty good. I'm sure this community can do it as well if we really do want to achieve something. There are quite a few good DCers here; I'm thinking that spriting would be more of a problem. I'm afraid I can't help with sprites, I'm a total newb at that.
But in case you are too few, I'd be willing to help. In any way I can and any aid you may need.
