In regards to theme controversy (Click to View)

It had better stay the original theme, or I am surely out of it. Seriously, if playing a game, where you might have to play as Hitler is too much for you, then I seriously wonder why? Sure Hitler did a lot of terrible things, but he died in 1945. That is almost 71 years ago, and I think letting it get in the way of a game, in which Hitler is portrayed as a lizard, along with his fellow lizard fascists. I think it is great that a game can be successful despite it having a role that is literally called Hitler, and I think it is great a subreddit can exist that is literally called PC Master Race, without everybody throwing a hissy fit over it and accusing the subscribers of being neo-nazis.

I view wanting to change the theme of an already perfectly functioning game, because it goes against your national pride as censorship and as a result repulsive, so if that is done, I want to part of it.

If somebody asks if you are a neo-nazi and you obviously aren't which is clearly evident from your previous post, then point out their folly and leave it at that, ignoring people because they say something dumb is dumber. People misunderstand each other, particularly online where tone of voice isn't accessible.

well I still won't play it then... that's just my opinion... maybe you might understand my point of view if I show you an example:
would you play a game in which you should play as a pedophile rapist? well maybe you would, if you have no relation to somebody that raped children... you know it's a bad thing, but it's just a game so it should be fine, right?... but now imagine your mother was raped when she was 15 years old, got pregnant and as a result you're the offspring of that rape... the man who did this was caught, put in jail and got what he deserved... but still, he's your genetic father...
would you still play the game? mh maybe... well but now imagine: what if instead of other people being sorry for your past, they instead accuse you of being a rapist yourself, they ask you if you rape children? just because your father did it? just because your father was like that, they think you are aswell?... and over the course of your life you heard that alot, sometimes as a joke, sometimes as a serious accusation... would you still be happy to play that game?...
I'm not proud of the german past, but just because you're german you're related to being a nazi, even thougt it has nothing to do with you and is way in the past... it still sucks
but ofc, you can argue that the father-rapist story is a bad example that cannot be compared to the german-nazi story... and you're absolutely right, because pedophile child molesting rapist were never responsible for systematically killing of million of jews...
joke or not, it's disrespectful and yes I will keep being butthurt about it.

I don't get why people should feel guilty about what other people have done regardless if you are associated with their politics, religion, ethnicity, race, nationality, or even family members. This whole idea of feeling responsible or wanting to respect the sensitivity around a controversial subject is silly, unnecessary and weak.

How can anyone feel guilty from what happened 71 years ago? There are people out there that are trying to shame me for being a privileged white cis male. I shouldn't care about what others label me as. I'm often accused of being a racist (which i'm not btw) in the past i considered this to be extremely taboo and avoided being labeled as such since i wanted to get along with my peers. Now adays it seems like its lost meaning. I would understand if the traumatic experience was directly affecting you but i just don't see how it could. I honestly believe people shouldn't feel guilty over playing a character that did not directly affect them especially if you are playing a game.

Let me clarify that if you have been accused as a rapist by everybody and this ruined your life i have sympathy for you and can understand why you wouldn't want to play a game that involves you playing as a rapist. If you think playing a lizard hitler will somehow directly affect your well being then fine don't play it. However, It is disappointing to see people not wiling to challenge their fears and shift their feelings elsewhere for the sake of trying new things and being entertained.
