Hi everyone
Today i start to learn dc
but i meet a question

I quote the two frames of Bat here

<frame> 5 walking
pic: 4 state: 1 wait: 3 next: 999 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 centerx: 39 centery: 78 hit_a: 0 hit_d: 0 hit_j: 0 hit_Fa: 240 hit_Fj: 270 hit_Uj: 260

I wonder if Bat can go to frame6 or not after he finish frame5
coz I see there is next: 999 so it will go back to frame0?
Thats mean he cannot do frame6 forever?

Another question

I want to make two new moves for sorcerer
When he input D^A
5 Fire Balls will come down from sky to attack the enemies on ground
When he input D^J
5 Ice Balls will come down from sky to attack the enemies on ground

But how can i start with that
Should i make the sprites first before i make the moves?
Will it be hard to make a new object id?

The walking frames use state: 1 so they automatically go from one frame to another.

Make a move set where you opoint out 5 fire ball (go here for more info) and then use hit_Ua: <number_of_the_first_frame_of_the_move>

Same as above, change the Fire balls into Ice balls and hit_Ua->hit_Uj

It's all up to you. You can use some other sprites as substitutes to see how the data work or make the sprite first so you know how to coordinate the itr/bdy/ect

No just check your data.txt to avoid existing id and then make up any number you want (i.e. id: 9001)

Extended Explination:

States are specific categories for frames with special effects.
These effects are hardcoded, means: You cannot see them in any dat-file and without HEXing, you can't change them.

State:1 (walking) includes special abilitys like:
-dvx is depending on the chars walking_speed (which is defined on the beginning of the chars dat-file)
-Walking can be combined with ^ or v for dvz-movement
-etcetcetc
-walking will always go back and forth between the 4 walking frames, wait: and next: are being ignored (means you can insert anything in the next: , it won't change anything)
