[solved] Automatic reversal

Well I saw this in the Metal gear solid lf2 a while back and decided I want to use it in my game. The problem is I haven't got a clue how it's done - i've got some alternative ideas though:

I checked the standing frames of the character being hit, and the character who's hitting the other opponent but found nothing. Any ideas?

Did you check the injured-frames? Looks to me like an itr/k8 is placed in there which leads the hit character to the counter-move.

Don't think so. Break his defense and he'll lose HP. Projectile-attacks, for example. Any kind of energy-balls won't trigger this, neither attacks that directly knock him down (dash kick, dragon punch, etc). Now, I haven't seen the actual data of this guy or played with him, there might be additional thingummies.
